The World of Secfenia

Despite not finding anything again, Foxeon continues to search around in a spiral from where he'd started. From time to time he pauses to listen to the snow before turning and searching another place (A-12, B-13, C-14, D-14).

Cheered by his success, however low he thought of broccoli, Foxeon moved more quickly through the next section (C-15, D-15) of forest. The snow seemed less dense here, but that just made searching faster.

Continuing on his expanding circle (A-13 and B-14), Foxeon drags his feet through the snow to see what he can kick up.

Not deterred by finding only a log, Foxeon continues to search through the area in a larger spiral (A-14 and B-15).

While Foxeon's quest had taken him over many places in Fenia, it hadn't yet seen him go to its capital. He'd become vaguely aware that the Blackwood family head lived there or, at least, became mayor there, but various reasons had kept him from visiting to pay his respects. Foxeon stood still in the woods (A 15), eyes closed. He listened to the whispers of the snowflakes as they landed or as the snow shifted where it'd already settled. He turned to a stillness in the snow and pushed away the snow to see what he'd found.

Goodness, displeasing a guardian spirit of the land he was searching, what rotten luck. More than that, he'd wandered into the territory of a fire warlock.
