Apoc took a deep breath to formulate the best words for this answer. Per council procedures it was never formally sanctioned or condemned as no consensus was reached.

The troll sighed, "Another? Izza had chance ... list of witnesses for the defense is finisheded. More delay."
Logo imagined the howls and cries. It didn't matter. Too slow. Too fast. Too lenient. Too strict. There would be cries from some, or one, regardless.

The troll took council from his own opinion and answered the request.

Iz we here to see justice. Im hearded those wheels grind slow ... but exceedin' fine.

Logo nodded to the defense desk, "Iza have opportunishy for cross 'xaminations after.

With a clack of his gavel, the judge added, "The idra an' the apoc iz dismisseded. The court apprecificates your cooperations an' promptnesses."

Lord Prosecutor you do realize it is now March, 4 months after the alleged crime took place. Is the prosecution going to delay so long that the court will have another Judge and Prosecutor before this case is decided?

Balerion starts to think perhaps if he calls witnesses like the Prosecution that never show up over the course of weeks he might never have to know what decision any Judge would make.

Apoc stepped down from the witness stand and quietly took his seat.

Serene found herself falling asleep, and waking much later.
If this is what court was like, she wanted no part in it.
She woke up with a crick in her neck and a missing frog. It had escaped her pocket somehow.
She decided to sneak out. The invitation to come see a trial said nothing about having to stay the whole time. She snuck out as quietly as she could manage.
She had a few tears roll down her cheek as she realized her frog was gone for good.

Balerion finds he can't keep his eyes open any longer and falls asleep dreaming of eating winged frogs in the great courtroom in the sky.
