The animals surrounded her. Each one of them, she had slowly gained their trust. She was sad to depart with them, but decided that she could not take in every single stray she had encountered.

Selecting ones that needed the most immediate care and love, she settled them at the abandoned ((used)) pet market. A tear had slipped down her cheek as she made the decisions to hand them over.

In front of each, she placed a piece of parchment that read the following:

"Spirited pets in search of a place to call home.
May need taming or training as these were found out in the wilds.
Underweight and needing a bath..

Note: I have placed one of each extra pet I have upon your market, if anyone is looking for additional ones, please send a runner to come find me and I may well have additional. Their condition is as they were found, so they will need some tender loving care to bring them back to their glory."

Retriever
War Horse
Pack Mule

Leo was taking a break from the daily tasks of the army to spend some time at the town zoo. There he had taken occupation of the rancher's office in the absence of his sire, and made sure all the animals were taken care of and although the zoo was closed it was always prime condition. Everything was cleaned, animals were kept in healthy good condition and food was always provided. He noticed a drop off from a traveler at the pet market side of the zoo and decided to check it out himself with a fellow zoo keeper. A horse, a dog, and a pack mule along with two squirrels.

"Well hello my dears, how are you?" He asked the animals as he took a closer look at their current state of health. The horse looked strong. The dog looked excited to see another person. The pack mule looked content. The squirrels... Well they are squirrels. He read the notes and then looked back at the animals."Don't worry a home will be found for each of you soon enough but in the mean while.." He ushered the zoo keeper to bring the animals some food and gave instruction to clean them up for sale.

The horse he took a liking to, "I know just the person for you."

Receiving a note that two of the pets thus far had received new homes, she decided that she could possibly part with another of each of those. Nursing their health while they stayed in Cork had become her main focus, as what else could she possibly do?

Again, she was sad to see two more be offered up, but she had a feeling that their new homes would welcome them.

With a pat to the large horse, she smiled as it entered a temporary stall, and the Retriever, she gave a fond scratch behind the ear.
'Soon.. I am sure you won't be here long.' She gave it a smile before turning on her heal.
