She hitched the twins higher on her hips and set off back with the pack to the glade where she could set up her painting. The wolves would guard the twins on the blanket for her and enjoy doing so.
She enjoyed this new life she had created, although it was gentle and peaceful. She no longer had stresses to upset her and could now do as she wished.
They arrived at the glade and she laid the blanket down and placed the twins there. Immediately several of the females flopped down in a circle around the twins to ensure their safety. She then set up her painting board and placed her paints where she would need them and clipped a sheet of parchment to the board.
She continued working till the twins made known their wants and needs, so she left off work and catered for each of them . She decided to have something to eat herself while she was not working.
After she had finished she continued to work till late afternoon then started to stretch as she had been working for several hours and felt stiff. She got up and packed her things and folded the blanket and secured it to one of the wolves back along with her painting equipment. Very carefully she rolled the painting in a fine cloth and secured that as well. Then hitching up the twins she made her way back with the them and the pack to the lodge.

Shara fed and bathed the twins and laid them down for sleep. Then she got herself a salad and her cup of tea. after she had eaten she washed her dishes then she got out her painting things and set them out to finish the painting.She spent the rest of the evening on it and finally finished quite late. She looked at it quite critically and was satisfied it was fine.She stood it up against the wall to finish drying.
She colected up her things and replaced them in her bag for the next time she painted.Then she decided it was time for bed, so she went off to her room and undressed and climbed into bed and slept very quickly.

The sun was shining brightly when she awoke and she could hear the twins gurgling and giggling in their room. She guessed on the play of the wolves, maybe more were in there amusing the twins.
Sharra got up and dressed and the went into the twins room and yes, they were laughing at a couple of the wolves at play. She gathered their clothes and dressed them and took them into the kitchen for their breakfast. Whilst they were busy consuming their food she gathered together the items she would need for their outing.
She ate her breakfast and cleaned up the twins and took them outside to play with the wolves
while she cleared the table and washed the dishes. She then made their beds and gathered her bag and went outside. They were happily sat playing.
She had decided to take them to a little glade that had a tiny pool of fresh water and the children could play happily there with the wolves while she watched them.
Sharra got up and dressed and the went into the twins room and yes, they were laughing at a couple of the wolves at play. Sharra, watched the twins play while she drew pictures of them with the wolves. They were growing so fast,that she wanted a record for them to see when they were older.
Later when it was time to return to the lodge, she slowly walked back as the twins were now walking and she enjoyed watching their fascination with buttercups and daisies and every little butterfly etc. they spied. She knew this time with them would soon vanish as they grew olde, so she treasured this time while she could.
Eventually they reached home and she saw a letter awaiting her. She picked it up and took it with her inside and placed it aside while she gave the twins their dinner that she had prepared and left ready for their return.
While they sat and ate their dinner she made a cup of herbal tea and took out the letter to read it. "Oh, how nice," she thought, Her friends, Bacchus and Kitiara whom she had seen the other evening may be able to call for a visit. She felt quite excited to have them call as many of her friends were so busy they were not able to. "Hope they would be able to take a wander round her lovely area and see how good it was" she told herself.
Tomorrow she would do a painting of the twins for Bacchus and Kit and give it to them.

A long, gaunt black furred wolf stalked into the clearing. It shivered as though shaking itself from water and slowly became Bacchus.
'Sharra, my apologies for my tardiness. I would like to play with you and the children if I may, so I can get to know them?'
From his brown leather backpack Bacchus produced brightly coloured wooden chew-rings, cloth toy animals, pigs, horses, wolves, chicken. He showed Sharra the dolls of himself, Kitty, the King, an elf, Valir the dwarf.
Bacchus sat down on the ground near to Sharra and the children but not right next to them. He took the toys and placed them on a vellum sheet on the ground a few steps away from him, then he sat back to see what the children & their mother would do?.

Sharra came around from the side of the lodge and saw Bacchus arriving. He stopped and took some toys out of his bag and placed them on the ground. She came forward leading the twins and greeted him," Hello Bacchus, my friend. You are welcome."
She led the children froward and let them play with the toys. They made a rush for them and was happy to play. Then they looked at Bacchus and smiled and gave in to the more important task of play.Sharra led Bacchus to the lodge and settled him on the verendah while she went and got the tray of refresments and cookies.
She was pleased to see her friend and sat to listen to all the news.

She enjoyed her time with Bacchus and his news and when he was ready to depart she asked him to give her love to all her friends and tell them she would visit soon, then hugged him and waved him goodbye.

She pondered on the fact that she had not been to visit her friends but knew she would have to soon.. She did miss them and all their lively chatter. When the sun started to disappear over the treetops she called the twins for bed and they went into the lodge.

nearby beside the lake, the crocodiles began to hatch.
soon after the last hatchling was out of the egg all 10 crocodiles crawled to Sharra's lodge, waiting outside for her in the morning, laying in a line with the 8 baby crocs between the two adults.

Sharra awoke to a lovely day full of sunshine. Stretching she slowly got up and dressed, then wandered into the kitchen. She prepared the breakfast and opened the door for fresh air to circulate the room and saw Buglord and his lady, so went outside and stopped dead.
There on the grass, was eight very cute little baby crocodiles with Buglord , all in a line. She hurried down the steps to greet them. She was so pleased to see her friends again. She bade them good morning and turning to the little ones she said to Buglord and his lady," You must be very proud. These little ones are lovely. I am so happy for you. I will get you breakfast". and she hurried to the store, then came back with two geese for the proud parents and three chickens for the little ones, " I will just see to the twins whilst you all eat " she told Buglord.
She went back up the steps to the kitchen and heard the twins stirring, so went and helped them dress. They then went and had breakfast but instead of letting them do their usual dash out of the door, she informed them they had company and were to take things slower. So the twins slowly went down the steps, then upon seeing the crocodiles went rather still and stared. Sharra took their hands and took them down to meet Buglord and his family.
Happily the little crocs had eaten and were somnolent, so the twins were able to get close to them without startling them. They were fascinated by Buglord's teeth and kept looking at them as he gave a crocodile smile. Sharra had great difficulty in not laughing at the expressions of total absorbtion from the twins with his teeth and she was sure Buglord was smiling to encourage them.
They spent the day with Buglord and his family. This gave the twins and her, herself, the chance to let the little ones get used to humans. Thankfully the little ones were very gentle with the twins so hopefully everything would be fine. Especially as the little ones were all curled up asleep all over the twins who had crashed out asleep on the grass. Sharra had really enjoyed this day and judging by the peaceful look of the parents, they had as well. Certainly the twins had.

Buglord and his mate picked up their hatchlings with their jaws and took them inside, waiting for Sharra to come in aswell as it was getting colder outside.
