Victorious had met a nice gentleman in the tavern named Marshal and was hoping to get to know him better so she could move on with her life.
She took Princess out for a ride and arrived at a beautiful stream. She loved the beauty of the stream. She got off of Princess and let her drink of the water from the stream.
She lied a blanket on the grass and took out her picnic basket with some fine wine and strawberries.

He received a note from Victorious from a messenger to meet her in the forest near a river. He took the little note folded it neatly and placed it in his pocket. He had wondered why she wanted him to meet her there, she after all was human and most seem to prefer areas more closer to home. He being half elf, was more naturally known to be in the forest, with the animals, rivers and the land.
He had reached the edge of the wood, and peered into them to see if he could make out where she had gone. Not being able to see her entry point from where he was, he closed his eyes, and let the wind from the forest guide him toward her. Gently nudging Arabella, his horse in the direction the forest told him to go. Soon after, he reached a small brook of a river, the waster softly pedaling down the rocks, the fresh scent of wild flowers crossed his nostrils, and he smiled again Oh forest, how I've missed you so. he spoke softly, as he rode Arabella gently through the forest.
Shortly there after, he could see a small opening ahead, and a white horse. This must be her he thought to himself, and gently rode to the clearing. As he neared, he saw the lady perched on a blanket, bearing fruit from the basket. He smiled, and dismounted Arabella, tossing her reins over the saddle, letting her wander freely. Arabella was as in tune with the wilderness as he, and knew she shouldn't walk to far off, for she never knew when William would need her, or vise verse.
Hello sweetie. he gently spoke, moving some of his white streaming hair from his eyes, running it behind his ear so that he could see the wonderful lady in front of him clearly.

Victorious was sitting on the blanket enjoying the view of the stream. How she loved the forest and nature. It was definitely a place she liked to visit often when she can get a chance. She sat there wondering if Marshal got her letter to meet her here, if not she would enjoy her time with Princess. She noticed her drinking of the stream and seemed quite content when suddenly Princess quickly brought her head from the water.
Victorious quickly ran to Princess to grab her sword. You can never be unprepared she thought. She grabbed her sword her uncle gave her from the sheath and prepared for battle.
She walked towards the woods and saw that it was Marshal. She quickly put her sword to her side and said Welcome Marshal, I wasn't sure if you would find it. Would you like to sit and enjoy the stream with me? She heard his question and answered,I come here to relax when I get the chance. You are welcome to share this time with me if you would like.

Watching as she put her sword aside again, he wondered why she felt he was a danger to her, after all she had been expecting him. He shrugged it off, and listened to her ask him to join her. He pondered her inquiry and looked around at his surroundings. Wonderful weather above the treeline, a dribbling creek next to them, birds chirping in the trees. He then looked back at the blanket laying on the ground with a picnic basket on it, with food and drink in it. he then smiled and looked back at the beautiful woman.
Everything here is perfect, well all except for one thing. A beautiful woman in my arms. he stretched his arms out around her and hugs her tight.
Yes, I would love to share a wonderful afternoon with you here. he finally spoke, and escorted the lady back to the blanket.
Victorious hugs Marshal in his warm embrace and her heart gets butterflies. She is overjoyed with his presence. He looked so handsome today and smelled so good.
They walk over to the blanket and she pours him a goblet of wine and a little plate of strawberries. She raises her goblet towards his and toasts to their new relationship.
She leans over and gives him a kiss on the cheek and saysThanks for coming. Sorry about me raising my sword to you but you never know who could be coming from the woods, must be the warrior side in me.

After sitting himself, he watches the smooth movements of the wonderful woman around the basket, pouring them some drinks. She then kissed him on the cheek and rose her goblet. He then in turn raised his, and gently tapped it against hers. he then took a drink from it, and placed it down on a tray that she had pulled out with the goblets.
Looking around at the surroundings again, he decided to lay down, and enjoy the view crossing his arms behind his head and looking up at the fluffy clouds above. A gentle breeze had blown some strands of his hair in his eyes, and he attempted to blow it away by blowing upwards, feeling to comfortable to move. He decided to just leave it and stay comfortable instead.
So, your plan was to hang out here for the afternoon? It seems like a wonderful place so far. You chose a good spot. he peered over at her from his laying position on the blanket.
Victorious watched this wonderful man she got the pleasure of being with. She imagined him in her arms and she got a feeling of peacefulness and love within her. She wondered if he could be the one that would spend a wonderful life with her, only time would tell she supposed. She watched him lay down with his arms behind his head. His white hair was long and soft looking blowing in his face and she layed next to him but facing in his direction. She took her soft hands and brushed his hair away from his wonderful blue eyes and stared into his eyes with a love that was so different than she had ever experienced. Could he be the one that would not hurt her this time?
She had to be careful who she decided to be with this time but she could not overprotect her heart to not miss the chance at a love that could be worthwhile. She would give Marshal the chance to prove his worthiness. So far he was loving, protective, and attentive to her.
She put her arms around his chest and just cuddled next to him feeling so comfortable. This is a wonderful day isn't it, Marshal. The clouds are so beautiful. I love the outside air. Being with nature gives me peacefulness and the water gives me the breeze to smell all the flowers. I have some roses at my castle since they are my favorite flowers.

He listened to her speak softly as she cuddled up next to him. Taking one of his hands and gently playing with some of the soft strands of hair on her head, still looking up at the clouds. Enjoying the moment at hand, he decided to pull her close to him, and gently rub her back. Listening to the sounds of nature once again. With his free hand, he gently gripped the charm around his neck, and closed his eyes, taking in his surroundings with all his other senses more vividly. Several moments had gone by with silence. Nature had suddenly stopped it's cheerful noises, not a sound could be heard other then the gentle breaths of the two people. He opened his eyes, and could see several puffy clouds twirling directly above him. He cracked a small smile, and the sound of nature suddenly returned. Chirping birds, the trickling of the water.
He returned to gently running his fingers up and down her back and looked her in the eyes. If you don't mind, I would like to lay here with you a little while longer.
Victorious lay closely with Marshal holding his strong chest enjoying the closeness of him in his arms. She hadn't felt like this for a long time now. She felt safe once again in the arms of a strong man. He was warrior and knew that once they fell in love he would stop at nothing to protect her.
Her uncle had met him in the tavern and had approved of this union if it became to that. Her cousin had already tested him but was not sure what she thought but she was wary because of what Jace had done to her so she was going to make sure Marshal was not of the same caliber but Victorious really felt in her heart that Marshal was quite different.
Now she would rest in his arms comfortably.
Victorious answered Marshal,Of course we can lay here and enjoy each others company. It really feels nice to lay here with you. Thank you for coming and making this day delightful for me. I'm looking forward to getting to know you more.
She stared at the clouds and heard the birds chirp in a beautiful melody. She caressed Marshal's chest softly enjoying him rub her back. She didn't think this day could ever be any better. This is exactly what she needed today.

Listening to her speak, with the noises of nature in the background, William was purely satisfied with his current state of nature. He slowly glanced around the area once more taking in all he can see as a half elf. He took in a slow deep breathe and let himself get lost in his surroundings with this wonderful woman by his side.
What of me would you like to know? he suddenly asked, wondering what was on her mind, out in the middle of the wilderness.
