[RP] Thorn's Little Castle

[Thorn]

Several weeks later Thorn returned to Cork and her home after travelling with Rieron to Spirus, they leaving soon after the volcano erupted and swallowed Kiene. While is Spirus she had watched him fight several different people, and then to Widu where she watched again as Rieron fought. During that time she had worked and tried to study a little.

But she was glad to arrive home, and immediately Thorn got down to studying again, thinking about how one particular fight in Widu had ended with Rieron and her travelling back to Cork with another, Cathrina. She had bet Rieron and now must serve a month as his servant. Shaking her head Thorn chuckled, thinking Rieron would have his time challenged, and rather amused by that thought.

Looking round Thorn wondered where everyone was. She had offered Cathrina a room and knew it had put Rieron's mind at rest. Of her messages that lay waiting her return was an invite to a wedding and she wondered if Rieron would want to go.

[Rieron]

Rieron walked through the familiar streets of Cork feeling at ease that he had finally made it to his home base after being away in a long tiring trip to the now destroyed Spirus. He had taken Thorn with him on the journey across the continent to the city to fight a few people in the arena. The people had challenged him repeatedly on the taverns and he took it upon himself to crush them personally and shut them up once and for all. After having done so they parted from Spirus in a hurry with an army heading towards Fenia, soon enough he meet a couple of refugees in the city of Widu and them too he fought. One of them in particular the sister of one of his enemies fell on the arena and was forced on her honor, due to a bet, to sign a month long blood contract. She would be his servant regardless of choice, however, he intended to make her stay with him pleasant.


Passing through the market place he bought a few steaks and had them packaged, while Cathrina followed him close behind. She would be staying in the manor of Thorn, something he was glad about because he would not have to pay a inn for Cathrina. Regardless of the sudden generosity in Thorn’s part, they gladly took it with zero objections.

“Thorn’s manor is a bit far from the town but it will serve its purpose for you human..” Rieron said in a low tone, walking infront of Cathrina with his eyes straight on the path ahead. “You should thank the human for giving you one of her rooms, she didn’t have to but its far better than the lousy inn in the town. Her Manor is well maintained...and guarded to some extent". They came across a bend and Rieron smiled gazing at the moated mini castle for a moment before proceeding ahead.

[Cathrina]

Cathrina followed Rieron, keeping her head low and biting her bottom lip, mumbling
How much longer, my feet are killing me.
Trying her best to keep with him, she mutters"I'll thank her. And don't worry, I know better than trying to run..."
Sighing softly, she drags her feet after him, the sight of the moat causing her to freeze in place.

[Rieron]

Rieron took his time walking to the Manor, he looked around the moat casually half way expecting crocodiles eyes to appear from the surface of the water but knew that Thorn hadn’t bought any of them as of late. Once he was standing in front of the large wooden doors he knocked a couple of times while beckoning Cath to hurry up from her frozen spot. ‘The appearance of the manor is grand indeed to make Cathrina stop at her feet and gaze at it’ Rieron thought to himself waiting for her to catch up. Though, she hadn’t stopped what he considered ‘whining’ since getting to the town, even though they only traveled one day from Widu to Cork.

Patiently waiting for Thorn or her servant to answer the door he looks around some more and watched Cathrina as she finally made it to his location, remaining a few feet away. “Well we are here now human you can stop asking that for the 20th time…the lady of the castle should open these doors any minute now, behave while you are in her residence. She actually likes you despite your connection to your brother” Rieron chuckled a bit dryly at the last comment and stood with his arms crossed staring at the door for its opening by whoever was inside to greet them.

[Thorn]

When Thorn heard the knocks on the large wooden doors she was just about to step onto the first wooden stair to go check on rooms. She was nervous for some reason, and smiled a strained smile, worry on her face. She took a deep breath and turned to cross the hall, waving of her maid who came rushing to the door. Making her face blank of the worry she held about Cathrina being there, worried the young woman would hate it, and even her. Thorn did not care for her brother, but did think Cathrina a nice soul, one who was probably torn with her lack of choice due to the bet she made with Rieron. Yet while she would be staying as Rieron's servant, Thorn had every intention that her stay would not be all work, and she would speak to the Dark Elf to make sure she did not cause any anger from him. That would be the last she wanted.

Reaching the door, thorn laid her hand on the handle and turned it slowly, and as she opened the door she smiled, the worry cleared from her expression, seeing Rieron stood before the door, arms crossed looking very imposing, and looking past him Cathrina a few steps away from the elf.

Welcome... Thorn greeted pleasantly, looking to where Cathrina. She noted the apparant tiredness in her and hoped that the room she had prepared would be agreeable to her, and comfortable. Cath looks like she could do with a few days rest, Rieron, Thorn said quietly, turning to speak to him directly, looking up at him and hoping he did not disagree. Thorn knew he had plans, what she was unsure completely, but Cathrina would need her strength, and she was sure the Elf would want her strong.

Come inside, both of you. Cath, you are welcome here, so please put yourself at ease, Thorn said calmly, looking from Rieron to Cath, and moving aside so the doorway was clear for them to enter.

[Cathrina]

Cathrina looked down, hurrying after Rieron and nods her head
Very well, sir. I won't cause any trouble to you or her.
Nodding to Thorn, she gives her a faint smile
Hello, Thorn and thank you for letting me stay at your home.
Frowns and looks down in embarrassment as her stomach growls.

[Rieron]

Watching the large wooden doors as they finally opened, Rieron faintly smiled at Thorn who appeared to be the one to have answered it. As she greeted them quietly, he stared down at her listening to her words but thinking to himself before responding. “Perhaps you are right human.. I need Cathrina to be fit and ready for combat in the coming days.” He looks at Cath then back at Thorn, “Very well she can rest in your manor if you allow it..”

Rieron walked past Thorn with her permission to come inside her manor and looked around intrigued. He listened as Cathrina followed his instructions on being polite to Thorn and did the same in following him inside discreetly. Suddenly hearing Cathrina’s stomach growl made him chuckled, it was clear she was hungry but so was he and they both hadn't ate anything upon arriving to the city and were not looking for a nice meal to fill their bellies. Rieron lifted up the package he had in one of his hands, containing fresh butchered steaks and showed it to Thorn as he spoke “Can your cook make something with this steaks? Both me and the human are famished from the journey, I don't suppose you ate ahead of us... you look like you could use a nice meal as well.” He grinned slightly and hoped she had a good cook residing in her manor, for he was too tired to cook the meats himself.

[Thorn]

Thorn watched Rieron as he entered, turning to follow him in, letting the maid close the door once Cathrina was inside too. Listening to Rieron she smiled, glad he did not seem upset at her suggestion. Taking the meat from Rieron Thorn waved the maid over, handing him package to her and whispering to her instructions, before turning to Rieron and Cathrina, realising the young woman was hungry.

Yes the cook is good and knows how to make filling meals, and will make good use of this meat, she chuckled remembering her first full meal and how huge it had been. Thorn had not managed to eat much that day and had spoken to the cook after to explain the type of size meal she was used to. Today however she had prepped the cook to prepare a feast, having been sure that Rieron would be hungry and Cathrina too.

Follow me will you. I waited eating till you both arrived.

With that Thorn smiled and turned towards the dining room and walked ahead of her guests, glancing at Rieron as she reached the doorway before entering. She saw the long oak table laid with cloth, plates, mugs, cutlery... all ready to eat. Walking to her seat at the head of the table she heard the maid enter and smiled as she set down a several dishes of steaming food, hurrying out and returning just as Thorn now sat with a platter of cooked meat. Thorn looked at Rieron and indicated he sit.

Please no ceremony here... sit and tuck in, Thorn said, looking at Cathrina and smiling slightly. Eat Cath and relax.

[Cathrina]

Cathrina gave Thorn a smile, before taking a seat across Rieron, but waits for him and Thorn to start eating.
The meal looks and smells delicious, Thorn.
Sighing, she looks around, holding the knife and fork, looking around warily.

[Rieron]

After handing the packaged steaks to the maid, Rieron along with Cath followed Thorn to her dinning room where a nice feast was being set up by the other servants of the manor. Expected from a lady, the set up was done elegantly with plates and other wares of good quality from a noble. As they came to the long oak table, Rieron stared at Thorn while she took her seat at the head of the table then motioned them to sit down and commence eating the food that was already there.

“No formalities huh? Yet you prepared a nice feast worthy of a person of note human..this was unexpected” Rieron gave her a small smile as the cooked steaks were brought out along with some other delicacies. He looked at Cathrina briefly as she looked down on the steaming food in front of her waiting for them to start eating before she began or so he thought to himself, which prompted him to waved her off and say in a light humorous tone “What are you waiting for human?? you must be starving, eat to your hearts content, and Ill pay off the lady of the house for it later."

Looking down at his meal then back to Thorn, Rieron decided for himself to wait for Thorn to eat first before he started since she was the head of the manor after all. “After you human..this is your manor you should have the honor of taking the first bite of this pleasant meal” Rieron said smiling a little.
