Pakvora Kintala: Beautiful Balance and Te'sorthene Roma: Roma Family bound by Spirit and not Blood

.: Glade near the Forest of Cork :.

Scarlet smiled as she looked around. Her camp was growing. Anya, her Rani Shanglo, and Cathrina's vardos were a sight for sore eyes. A camp of three vardos. Not as large as they could have been but the camp was more than just her. The now six vanners munched on the grasses around with Bast the hippogriff quietly eating a piece of very rare steak.

The only thing that stood out of place was Cathrina's blank vardo. Plain unpainted wood on the inside and the outside. She was curious what the other woman would do with the vardo since Scarlet gave her free reign over how she wanted to paint it. It would be something to see when it was done.

Her eyes moved back over to where Anya was cooking breakfast over the campfire. "What do you think?" She asked Anya before going to sit on the pillows and carpets that surrounded the fire pit. Anya scooped out some gets and sausage out of the cooking pot and put them into a bowl that was handed to Scarlet.

"Gadje gadjensa; rom romensa, Kralisi." The Rani Shanglo said with a shrug. Scarlet had to fight to not roll her eyes. At the statement. Scarlet didn't care that Cathrina wasn't Roma if she wanted too she could learn to be Roma but if she didn't Scarlet would make sure that the woman had a home.

"Be nice simensa. She's just as much an outsider as we are and in need of a home." Anya nodded and laughed softly. Anya knew that Cathrina was searching for a place to belong. Looking at the cooking pot she was glad to see that there was enough for Cathrina as well should the woman be up.

Rani Shanglo: Lady Law, protector of the Kralisi
Vardo: Roma Wagon
Gadje gadjensa; rom romensa, Kralisi. : Non roma with non roma; Roma with Roma, Queen.
Simensa: Cousin
Vanners: Refers to the Gypsy Vanner Horse

Cathrina woke up early and squatted on the floor of her still blank vardo, hearing voices, but frowns at being unable two understand a word the two women are saying. Jumping off the vardo, she nodded and smiled at Anya and Scarlet, her stomach growling.
Sitting on the ground, she takes a bowl, filling it with food.
Looking at Anya warily, she slowly starts to eat.
Turning to Scarlet, she adds "I chose colors for the vardo, maybe you can help me when you have time. If not, I'll get on it by myself."

Scarlet smiled her good morning to Cathrina and was happy to see her grab some food. It was good that Cathrina was settling into the camp. The life of a gypsy was usually strange to most people but the woman took it in strides. Taking a few bites of food she listened to Cathrina talk about painting her vardo. A grin crossed her face and she noticed even the stoic Anya cracked a grin. "I would love to help you! What colors do you want ... we can go into town and get them or mix them ourselves."

Cathrina grinned, her eyes twinkling "Wonderful! I think we could get Blue, yellow, green...And if you have any other thoughts we could add these too!"
She returned to eating, trying not to look too excited.

Scarlet grinned as she watched the excitement cross the other woman's eyes. "We can get those ... maybe smaller amounts of other colors just in case. Also I was thinking silver .... because it's fun." Scarlet stood from where she sat and went about cleaning up the breakfast dishes. "Brushes ... we'll need those too. It's been awhile since I painted a vardo."

Cathrina grinned and stood up, squealing in delight "This will be fun. Well, not as much fun as racing you to the market!"
Giggling, she bolts off, sticking her tongue out at Scarlet.

Scarlet watched Cathrina run of. A sigh escaped her lips as the blond moved off through the trees. "Need a horse?" Anya said with a hint of amusement in her voice. Scarlet could only turn her head and look at her Rani Shanglo. As if that was a given. "Two horses?" A soft chuckle escaped Scarlet's lips as she nodded.

"How else are we going to get the paint home?" She really didn't ask Anya and didn't need to. All she knew was that the horses were going to get her to the market faster than the woman could run.

Rani Shanglo = Lady Law Scarlet's protector and Steward

Cathrina frowns as Scarlet doesn't follow and hauls her feet back to camp. Looking at the horses, she grins
"Well, I guess we can race another time. Besides, I should start by learning not fall off the horse."
Holds back a giggle, looking at Scarlet and Anya with a puzzled look.

Anya smirked at the woman before shaking her head and heading off to somewhere else in the camp. Scarlet couldn't help but laugh, "Don't mind her ... she doesn't have some of the more ... social of graces." Moving she took a mare from the growing herd from around their camp. "This mare is Nuri ... she's very gentle and very patient with new riders. She is also one of the horses for your vardo when we decide we want a different location. She'll take very good care of you and we'll teach you how to take care of her." She then motioned to Cathrina to come closer so she could teach her how to saddle Nuri and to help her get on.

Cathrina smiled "It's alright, I suppose she has her reasons, I'm a newcomer and not a gypsy, she just needs time I guess."
Smiling, she walked over to the mare, carefully running her hand over her mane "Hello, Nuri."
Turning to Scarlet, she nods "I think I'm ready."
