Aingeal watched as Anessen bolted, a soft smile crossing her lips. Shaia, I think you scared him off, she said half laughing. Aingeal knew he was a bit hesitant on dancing, but she was sure once he saw her dancing, he would join her. Taking Scarlet's hand she tugged her to an open spot in the clearing, not too far from the tables. Aingeal began to dance slowly to the music, closing her eyes and absorbing the sounds.

She let the music take her away for a moment, she felt herself swaying and spinning, she could almost watch herself dancing. The swish of her skirts around her ankles as she spun, her red locks rustling in the small breeze through the clearing, for the first time in a long time she was enjoying herself.

Opening her eyes she looks towards where Anessen was, wondering if he would notice her dancing. Her cheeks slightly flushed at her dancing, Aingeal looked to Scarlet, hoping that Scarlet was having as much fun as she was.

Anessen knew he would be dancing at some point this night, he just didn't want to just yet. He poured himself a drink and sat down at an empty table. He sipped his drink and looked around the clearing once more. It was a very nice setting to have a party, hopefully more would show up to enjoy it.

He found his eyes drawn back to the two women dancing, Aingeal in particular. Anessen thought Aingeal looked even better in her dress as she danced. She seemed to be enjoying herself quite a bit, spinning this way and that without a care in the world. He smiled as their eyes met briefly and he felt compelled to get up and dance with her. He drained the rest of his glass in one swallow, got up from the table and walked slowly towards her.

Rieron looked at his small wardrobe within his office and shrugged not finding any real clothes to wear that didn't come out as too aggressive in appearance. Unfortunately, nearly every piece of clothing he owned had some type of armor attached to the cloth itself or a weaponry compartment where he could hide a dagger or any other small weapon inside of it and with easy access. Finally after he had washed himself of any sweat or dirt from the day's labor, Rieron settled for his semi-formal black leather coat over his regular purple clothing and pinned the sheriff badge to the coat instead.

Slowly he came out of his office getting some respectful nods from the soldiers guarding the wall then walked straight into the forest where he knew the clearing was located at. The festival was exactly in the same place where the old gypsy camp was at before, and that made it much easier to find it despite being surrounded by countless trees and overgrown vegetation from Cork's forest. Within a few minutes of walking he found the place and slowly went into the gathering already hearing music being played on the background. He smirked slightly to himself hoping Scarlet forgot about his words earlier on that day on the tavern but thought his chances on that were very slim.

Spotting the others a couple of feet away Rieron kept his distance and watched the proceedings while remaining quiet with his arms crossed. The happy atmosphere in the air was something he wasn't particularly used to being in so he decided to wait it out a couple more minutes in the dark wondering how long it would take any of them to notice his presence around.

Aingeal spun this way and that, enjoying the music filling the air around her. There wasn't many there, but Aingeal as happy those that showed up were. A party was a party, whether there be a hundred or a handful. The music picked up a little bit, and Aingeal twirled just a bit faster.

She cast small glances towards where Anessen sat, watching him grab a drink and sit to drink it. Laughing softly to herself, she took a few steps his way, so there wouldn't be a doubt to draw his attention. There eyes finally met, and there was something... a spark... a silent communication, and Aingeal faltered a step.

Catching her balance she continued to dance, catching glances of him as he finished his drink an made his way to her. When he was within a stride of her, Aingeal stopped dancing, her face flushed and her breathing a bit heavy. She watched him approach, looking up as he came to rest in front of her.

A soft smile passed over her lips. Do you wish to dance with me?

Do you wish to dance with me?

Anessen heard the words and really did want to dance with her but his feet seemed rooted to the ground. Doubt was creeping into the back of his mind. Elves were not known for their dancing prowess and parties like this were slightly foreign to him. Nevertheless he came over to her for a reason. He smiled and bowed slightly, keeping his eyes on her. He stammered out I would be honored to have this dance.

Anessen straightened up, took a step forward and held out his hand.

Scarlet moved with the music her hips and arms just letting go and moving with the rhythm of it. It was freeing to be in the open area instead of the confines of town and to have the music playing loudly. The press of the drum and the sound of the fiddle were home to her. Even the smells of the food and the tinkling sound of the jewelry worn was all home. Just as Cork was becoming her home. For a place to stand still and live still it was beginning to grow on her.

She grinned as Aingeal and Anessen started dancing and to watch Cathrina was always a joy. As she paused and looked at her family a familiar scent moved through the clearing. Seeing everyone enjoying themselves, Scarlet slipped away from the dance and grabbed an apple on her way to where the scent lay. Smiling she spotted her mate. "Ves'tacha ... you know this doesn't get you out of a dance with me." She teased him before taking a big bite of the apple and enjoying the flavor more than she probably should.

Aingeal held her breath, looking up at him waiting. Often in the tavern they were sitting, and she never really realized how much taller he was than her. She fidgeted slightly, she knew he was worried about dancing with her. Aigneal saw the flicker of doubt flash in his eyes before he bowed slightly, his eyes never leaving hers.

Aingeal watched as his eyes changed to something else, and something that she was sure she wanted to explore. "I would be honored to have this dance," she heard him say hesitantly. A soft smile crossed her face when he took a step close and offered his hand. Reaching out to place her hand in his, pulling herself close to him.

Aingeal wrapped her other arm around his waist, even standing on her tiptoes she would have trouble reaching his shoulder. Laying her cheek against his chest she allowed the music to carry them, listening to the beat of his heart under her cheek.

Rieron almost made for a turn when he noticed Scarlet catching a scent of his natural cologne in the air and walking in the direction to where he was standing hidden away in the darkness. Before he had a chance to turn back to the forest she was already there in front of him with a radiant smile on her face and taking a bite out of an apple very casually. He gazed at her up and down absorbing everything from the sound of her soft voice to what she was wearing and remained quiet for a long moment.

“Of course not amor.. I was just admiring the ‘scenery’ if you call it and letting everybody else have their fun before I joined in” he finally responded breaking the silence and taking a couple of steps closer to her. In reality the loud music and the lively surroundings just wasn't his type of scene but he was willing to try everything at least once especially since Aingeal and Scarlet had taken the time and effort to make it all happen. “This seems like a good party so far and the others look like they are enjoying themselves greatly..” He added once he was towering down over her small frame.

He looked past her to the others briefly before staring back down at her once more and leaning in to press his lips against hers softly, getting a taste of the apple from them. His arms automatically came around her back and squeezed her gently in between them before he pulled back to look at her clear blue eyes “Now about that dance.. You know you will have to take the lead on that as I never danced before in my life, right?” Rieron whispered as a small grin came across his lips.

All of Anessen's anxiety melted away when Aingiel took his hand. She stepped in close and wrapped her other arm around his waist. He thought about picking her up so that he could talk to her but for now he just leaned down and kissed the top of her head.

He let his feet move to the rythem of the music being extra mindful to keep clear of Aingeal's toes. He became oblivious to everything around them as they danced, wishing that the music would never stop.
