Lbh hugs his beloved close.
"Shocked? Me? Never." he says with a relieved smile.
"Would you like to see the garden?"
He takes Starlire's hand and escorts her around pointing out the features.
He hopes she will be happy with what he has done.
Her beloved took her hand and led her around the garden he had done. She just couldn't believe it. It was just as she had imagined.
"Oh, my love, it's a paradise just for us. It is truly heaven and I absolutely adore it." she told him and wept tears that he had done this with so much love just for her.
"My beloved, I am so happy with all you have done for me, I do not know what to say" she said. So instead she gave him a passionate kiss with her heart and soul in it.
Lbh's heart leaped with happiness at his most loved ones reply to their garden.
He returned her kiss with as much passion.
He says as he looks into her eyes,"This! Nothing to me, it is for you and the happiness you have that means all to me. I do it only for Thee. It does not show how much I Love Thee. I wish I could truly show you how much I do but there are no means on this world that I can use."
"Therefore, I can only use what I can to show you my Love for Thee."
"Mine beloved, thee hast given me the world, for hast thou not given unto me thy love and thine heart? Thou hast built for us a beautiful home and this wonderful garden. what more could I ask of thee? Thou knowest thou art mine soul-mate and I didst give unto thee mine heart as well as mine love."
Starlite threw her arms about her beloved Hawk. She did not know how to convince him that as long as he loved her she was happy."Forasmuch as thee hast given me thine love and thine heart, 'tis the most precious thing thee could do for me. Mine words alone art not enough for me to shew mine love but this I do for all eternity." she told him earnestly.
"Excuse me my Love but I do believe we may have a visitor."
Giving his Beloved a kiss he goes to the front door and opens it.
There stands balerion.
"balerion! My friend! Come in, come in." Lbh says as he gestures for balerion to enter. "You are the first to visit us so Welcome. Starlite is in the garden, follow me."
He leads balerion out to the garden.
"Starlite, look who has arrived." he calls out.
"Let me go and get some drinks for us."
Lbh enters the house to fetch the drinks.
Returning he hands one to Starlite and one to balerion.
Starlite and Blackhawk were in the garden talking as all lovers do, interspersed with kisses and hugs, when a knock sounded.
Blackhawk gave her a kiss and went to answer the knock. She heard him speaking to the visitor, then in reply, she heard the dragon's very deep voice and knew their caller was Balerion. She didn't know him very well but he seemed very friendly and nice.
As he came into the garden she moved forward to greet him while her beloved went to get them a drink each.
"Hello Balerion, How good of you to call and visit. You are most welcome indeed. We hope this will be the first of many visits." she told him with a smile.
Her beloved came out with their drinks and they settled down to lively chatter amid plenty of laughter. Blackhawk never leaving her side for very long. He was so loving and attentive she literally shone with her smiles.
As they sit and chat Lbh looks lovingly at his betrothed.
He holds her closer and whispers into her ear.
'I Love only you. Thank you for accepting my proposal and fulfilling my life.'
'Without you by my side, I am nothing.'
Lbh stands outside what was to be their home but no longer is.
It is now just an empty building, full of bittersweet memories.
It no longer means anything to him.
"Let it return to the elements from whence it came!" He shouts in anger.
His whole life was her. He had shown it often enough by actions as well as words but she had chosen to listen to, and believe in, gossip.
Never once had he told her falsehood, he couldn't, not to her. She has made her choice and he was the poorer for it.
He shall never find another to replace her, she was his `Soul-mate`. The one whom he thought was the one for him.
His hopes, his dreams, his aspirations now lie in ashes. Just like what was to be their home soon will be.

Lbh watches as his dreams and future are consumed by the flames.
"Fire cleanses all." he thinks sadly.
Gathering his few possessions he turns his back on the blazing building and sets off to an uncertain future.
Heart-broken at his loves mistrust of him.
He pauses and looks back at the burning building.
`It seems her love for me was just like the smoke from our home.`he thinks as he wipes the tears from his eyes.`There is nothing left for me here now. I built it just for her and me and if we cannot live there, then no-one shall.`
He walks slowly towards the setting sun with a heavy heart.
