Grazilda gathered the bones in her workshop. She decided to keep herself busy. Now that Noah and Oreo were gone, the workshop seemed devoid of life. The last visitor that she had was Gorm and that was weeks ago before the consecutive deaths. Thus, she decided to focus on her workshop to so that she would not be consumed with grief.

"This is a butcher shop, not a corn shop! It's time to sell items made by butchers!" She exclaimed. She inspected the materials laid before her and started her work.

"Hand me that piece of wood, Noah! And Oreo, don't get in the way!" She ordered. She froze. She realized that both of them were gone. There's no Noah who would assist her in her tasks nor would there be an Oreo to pester her and make her day brighter.

She sighed and continued her work in her butcher shop in silence.

The mourning was over. Grazilda was back to her workshop.

She spent days trying to figure out Noah's secret herbs and spices that produced the delicious fried chicken legs and steaks of her workshop. Noah also had a secret marinade that improved the quality and flavor of the meat products that they sold.

"I got it!" Grazilda exclaimed as she discovered Noah's coveted secret. "Noah, Noah, Noah! You were my cousin, after all!" She laughed and took note of the correct proportion of the well-kept secret.

It turned out that Noah used the family recipe, which was only known to the family. The secret had a curse that whoever gave out the recipe outside of the family suddenly died. And anyone who is outside the family who learned of the secret recipe dies as well. If the recipe was written, the ink suddenly blots or the parchment burns on its own. The written form self-destructs that the whole property burns at once.

Grazilda wondered if Noah died because someone else heard the family secret recipe. She suddered at the idea. Noah useed the family recipe and added some bits and pieces to it. Knowing Noah's personality and lineage, Grazilda was able to finally discover what kind of modifications he made.

Grazilda had to keep the secret in mind as she could not afford to write it down. She had no plans of dying nor burning her shop due to the curse.

Now that she can continue the recipe, she suddenly had a grand plan for her shop.

She grabbed her parchment and started computing for expenses and net income.

She was suddenly on a roll.

Grazilda locked the door of her shop. She stood outside and read her inventory list. She was satisfied with the sales for the day.

She walked towards the caravan, but suddenly changed her mind. She was about to head again to the town graveyard when she quickly decided against it.

Alas, she did not know what to do nor where to go.

She wandered aimlessly and let her feet lead her for the day.

Grazilda stretched her arms and yawned. It was only four in the morning, but she was already in her shop.

She took a last sip from her cup of klahua and rubbed her palms together. She reviewed her to-do list and smiled. It was going to be a busy day for her.

She recovered from the loss if Oreo and Noah. Life was slowly returning back to normal. She realized that she was losing a loved one almost every year.First, it was Dev. The next year it was Zechi. And lately, she lost two more.

She realized that people come and go. However, as long as Rieron is there, she could be at peace.

She gasped.

She realized that she was not around on Rieron's birthday. She knew that he would understand. Nonetheless, she felt guitly.

She grabbed her quill and dipped it in the ink bottle. She added in her list that she had to start making a gift for Rieron.

She got up from her chair and started working.

Business got better for Grazilda and everything was back to normal for her.

She heard one of the customers talking about having a new house. She paused and eavesdropped a little, which was unusual for her.

When everyone left for the day, she thought about having a house of her own, with a nice and comfortable den to relax after a tiring day. She also thought of having a warm kitchen to prepare her meals. She imagined having a cup of tea as she looked at her garden with blooming flowers in spring.

She sighed for she knew that her dream would not be a reality. Her so-called normal life was not normal at all.

Grazilda pulled her cloak closer to her body. It was cold inside her shop but she had a lot of things to finish that day. She decided to open the shop a little later and sat by the fire. She rubbed her palms together.

Her shop was filled with more logs than steak and fried chicken legs. Most of the items that she sold recently were wood, broccoli and oranges. She has a lot of bone items ready to be sold, but she heard that her sister Serene sold them, too. Thus, she pulled them out and kept them in the store room, instead.

She found a new hobby. Lately, she found herself playing some dice with family and friends. It was nice that she could also spend more time with people outside her family. She should go and interact with more people, IF time would allow it.

She also threw some snowballs to more friends as well.

Perhaps, the new year would be a more sociable one for her.

Grazilda finished reviewing the inventory of her shop. When she was done, she made a cup of tea and sat by her window.

She took a sip and looked outside. The sun revealed itself today. This made her smile. She loved the combination of sunshine and cold wind. She finished her tea and grabbed her cloak.

When she stepped outside, she rubbed her palms together and started to walk.

She found herself humming a happy tune. She walked aimlessly around town. She wondered if she would see anyone familiar today.

Serene was skipping around looking for something to do.
She saw her sisters workshop and thought sure heard something. "Maybe Grazilda is in!" Serene hurried to the door and knocked. She turned around and actually saw her! She started skipping as fast as she could to catch up with Grazilda. "Hi!" She squealed. Serene gave Grazilda a happy hug.

Grazilda was surprised and glad to see Serene. "Hello, Serene! What are you up to?" She hoped that Serene had some fun plans.

"You did great in the arena and in the Dice game. Congratulations! Any plans for the day?" She asked.

"Thanks for teaching me so much! I am learning lots!" Serene thanks her for teaching her to duel better. "I love to play dice with you!"

Serene thinks on her plans to answer the question. "Well, I had thought to play at hidden creak, or train a bit, or ...... Go Shopping!"
