It was terribly curious about how the rest of the people in the forest were doing. Was there clearings totally empty of trees and vegetation like where he was chopping? Was the entire treeline just a sham and just beyond the copse was an empty meadow with nary an oak in sight? Unlikely it would get the pitch and tar out of its body. First time in ages it would need a serious bathing!
