A New Destiny

Post by Angelo »

Angelo resided among the Quel’dorei or "high-borne" colony along the shores of the Well of Eternity,(A lake used for the source of magic in the center of the continent "Kalimdor".)Here he learned all he knew about magic as his whole colony did with immense obsession.Over time the colony had grown very powerful and they were feared by all of the night elves who resided in the land of Kalimdor at the time. The land eventually become terrified of the use of magic and tried to outlaw it completely, threatening any one to use it be put to death.Dath’Remar, the brash, outspoken leader of the high-borne, began to mock the druids publicly – calling them cowards for refusing to wield the magic that was theirs by right. The druids, unable to bring themselves to slaughter so many of their kin, decided to exile the reckless high-borne from their lands. And so the tribe boarded specially crafted ships and departed east towards the land of Kiene.

Angelo was anxious to set sail as he had never been out on the open sea before. He always imagined it to be an intriguing experience and it was none short of that.Hearing the sounds of waves crashing, and seagulls squawking high above. The sky was a crystal blue color with out a cloud in sight.Angelo watched from the upper deck as the crew tightened the sails.shortly after the fleet was slowly drifting from from the shore.Angelo deeply inhaled as the cool breeze blew the fresh air in to his face.Looking over the whole tribe,he never imagined that there were so many of them. There must have been thousands of high-borne aboard on this fleet, one overly obsessed with magic as the next. They would soon start their own kingdom and nothing would stand in their way,or so they thought.

There was plenty of food and ale to be had inside, although it was pricey and Angelo found him self being conservative. He didn't carry much coin and found him self filling up on bread every evening which wasn't a problem.Bread was his favorite thing to eat.He could easily survive the rest of his days from bread along.Every one on the ship seemed to be content with where they were.It was mostly a peaceful environment as they were all looking forward to living under their own rule and not by those prejudice of magic any more.Angelo's mind digressed a lot of what was to come.Who did Dath’Remar plan to hire for help in building the new kingdom?Or would they ambush another and take control?Where would they find a source for magic?Time would only tell.

After 3 days of indulging his time on the open sea,Angelo finally drifted to sleep one night, staring at the dim moonlight he saw through the overcast sky, while he laid down resting on the lower deck.the clouds grew thicker as a hint of thunder began to rumble.Every one quickly ran inside for shelter leaving Angelo out on deck in a deep sleep. The spot that he chose to lay was very secluded and no one knew he was there. The waves grew larger crashing against the side of the ship, causing it to sway and shake about. An ungodly roar of thunder finally forced Angelo's eyes open as he staggered to his feet holding onto the edge of the ship for dear life.He screamed for help, but non would be found even if anyone could hear him.It was impossible to keep balance on his feet with the force from the ship.Angelo was immensely frightened as a massive wave clashed into the front almost tipping the ship completely over with such force that it threw Angelo overboard into the sea.He now fought desperately to keep his head above the water, gasping for every bit of air he could take in as the violent waves from the storm kept pulling him under.Angelo was sure that he was going to drown to death.
