A Trip to Imperius

[Ladyblackhawk]

Emerald looked at him.
" Kendor you will have to remember I am used to being independent, I hate not being called by my name and I will think about us seeing each other again on the journey home."
Once the basket and blankets were on the carriage she looked over at him.
" You riding back or sitting in the carriage?"
The twins mounted their horses, both still not happy about having to go back home.
Emerald looked at them and smiled
" I will make it up to you, I promise."
Then she waited for Kendor to answer.

[Kendor]

“Em. I will ride back.”
He looked at her and he knew she was no one to trifle with.
Mounting the horse he remembered not to hold on so tight with his legs.

Emerald smiled when he said he would ride back.
Once they were mounted she nodded.
" Everyone ready, lets go home."
The twins rode in front of them,the journey home would be silent.
Looking at Kendor she could see he was more relaxed on the horse.
They rode at a steady pace, no racing home for a change.
Later she would take her horse out and ride him hard, he needed the exercise and she needed to think.

[Kendor]

Kendor rode a little faster so he could ride beside Em.
She is so beautiful, he thought.
Glancing at her evert chance he got.
He reached over and touched her cheek.

Emerald so wanted to speed off, more so when he touched her cheek.
She glared at him, how dare he.
" Having fun are you Kendor, you seem to ride better."
Emerald made her horse go faster away from him.
" See you at home."

[Kendor]

He slowed his horse letting her get way ahead.
He was bewildered by her reaction to his touch.
He wondered if she was mad.
Never intending to hurt her he decided to not touch her again until she touched him first.

Emerald enjoyed that bit of speed, she needed it.
Why did he make her feel angry at times, she did enjoy his company.
She slowed down and looked back calling to him
" Come on slow coach, you will have to ride faster to keep up with us Kendor."
The twins looked back then James rode back to Kendor to keep him company.
Emerald grinned, her children did like him.

[Kendor]

He smiled and increased his speed.
He pulled up beside her and grinned cheekily.
Em, could I interest you in a nightcap.
He smiled, and looked at her innocently.

She grinned as he caught up with her, the twins smiled also.
" So a night cap now, it was a meal earlier."
Emerald looked at him and smiled.
" You can stay and eat with us and I will see about the night cap."
At last home was in sight.

[Kendor]

He smiled at the invitation to supper.
"I promise to be very good."
He grinned ait her, "Em I hear there is a dance next month. May I take you?"
Letting her think about it he rode in silence the rest of the way.
