Morghain had finally made it home just after the sun had crested the horizon, the feathers of her wings so heavy laden with the same detritus that stiffened her clothing that it had been impossible for her to fly home. As it was, she expected that it would take the time and attention of more than one of those that served her, to return the normally pale feathers back to their pristine condition.

The journey from the mine to her Ayrie, one that normally took mere moments, took significantly longer. Once she got home and had managed to divest herself of her garments, she had not even been left with an interesting sculpture to show for her efforts. The sad, dirty bundle had collapsed into a pathetic heap at her feet to be whisked away by a servant and burned as useless.

After a great deal of snarling, threats and muttering about never stepping foot in a mine ever again unless it was to hunt, she had finally made it to her days rest.

Awakening as the sun dipped below the horizon, she decided that this evening would be spent in the woods. There were those who dwelt within the darker reaches of those ancient boughs who dealt with beings that had been around long before life had existed and would likely still be here long after it had gasped its last breath. If any knew anything about prophecies of zombie armies, it would be they....of course, whether they chose to share their knowledge or even acknowledge a creature as hersel, whose life span was not even a mere blinking of an eye compared to the vaste age they encompassed, that was a different story entirely.

Being out among the trees, their heavy weight encompassing her with their dark secrets, was a freedom she had missed. Too long she had been tied to her office. When not there, she was either at the market or in her mill, buying and producing items for her store in the taverns. If she heard nothing of use here tonight, it would still be well worth it too be able to immerse herself in the wild, untamed woods.

After some time, as the sky began to show signs of lightening again, she decided it was time to make her way home. Her haul of wood fir the evening was respectable. Further information on the prophecy of the zombie army. .less so. All that she had heard was that apparently she was going around biting people to form an evil army.

That bit of news was I interesting. ..she didn't think she usually sleep walked for mid day snacks but there you go.
