Today we start my lessons in moral. They are really rather good.

An eagle was sitting on a tree resting, doing nothing. A small rabbit saw the eagle and asked him, "Can I also sit like you and do nothing?"

The eagle answered, "Sure , why not."

So the rabbit sat on the ground below the eagle and rested.
All of a sudden, a fox appeared, jumped on the rabbit and ate it.

Moral of the story: To be sitting and doing nothing, you must be sitting very, very high up.

Now take a moment to reflect. When you leave us think of something you did today and apply this knowledge to it.

Did you know that an eagle knows when a storm is approaching long before it breaks?

The eagle will fly to some high spot and wait for the winds to come. When the storm hits, it sets its wings so that the wind will pick it up and lift it above the storm. While the storm rages below, the eagle is soaring above it.

The eagle does not escape the storm. It simply uses the storm to lift it higher. It rises on the winds that bring the storm.

When the storms of life come upon us - and all of us will experience them - we can rise above them by setting our minds and our belief toward the Faith. The storms do not have to overcome us. We can allow the Faith's power to lift us above them.

The Faith enables us to ride the winds of the storm that bring sickness, tragedy, failure and disappointment in our lives. We can soar above the storm.

Remember, it is not the burdens of life that weigh us down, it is how we handle them.

Now take a moment to reflect. When you leave us think of something you did today and apply this knowledge to it.

Two men were travelling together, when a Bear suddenly met them on their path. One of them climbed up quickly into a tree and concealed himself in the branches. The other, seeing that he must be attacked, fell flat on the ground, and when the Bear came up and felt him with his snout, and smelt him all over, he held his breath, and feigned the appearance of death as much as he could. The Bear soon left him, for it is said he will not touch a dead body. When he was quite gone, the other Traveler descended from the tree, and jocularly inquired of his friend what it was the Bear had whispered in his ear. "He gave me this advice," his companion replied. "Never travel with a friend who deserts you at the approach of danger."

I am pleased to announce that this temple now has a small annex displaying useful information about the temple itself and services it can offer. Further information here: http://www.secfenia.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=2849

Also, December is the month of the Faith as a result I would like to invite everyone to be baptised and, if you are already baptised, to witness a baptism. We want everyone to feel welcomed, and we want everyone to be baptised in the Faith.

Baptism does not determine anything about you. You are all part of the Faith. The ceremony is simple and short and I provide support each step of the way. Check the link above for a copy of the ceremony procedures.

If you want to be baptised please ask at the temple (thread) or send me a letter.

I would take advantage since the baptisms this month are completely free - no donation required!

{and before anyone gets confused baptism is role play and it is fun!}

I have kindly requested our mayor, who has graciously accepted, to invest the next town hall poll in improving our temple services. A unique mass is very tasking as it involves - at least from my side - research and careful reflection of it's lesson objectives. Not many people are attending mass, which is personally frustrating, but also seems rather normal since mass takes places every single day... I mean, who wants to go to mass every day?!

This is why I liaised with our mayor going forward. I advocate two unique masses a week, starting as soon as the sun rises (reset). This should keep the interest going and enable people to get into a routine. In any case, there are plenty of options to chose from, which will all be considered on their own merit off course.
+++
Would you prefer to have unique mass:
1. Every day because I go to mass everyday
2. Twice a week because mass should be unique and not lose interest
3. Never. I don't like the masses we have.
4. Mass? What's that?
+++
Hopefully coming a poll near you soon!

The mayor Maria of Paz has kindly agreed to host a town poll to investigate how mass may be better used in our community. Currently I am celebrating unique masses everything, which are very tasking if they are to be done properly with preparation and research. It is very frustrating to see so few people attending so, as a compromise, I suggest that we only hold 2 unique masses a week but starting right after the sun goes up (reset). Yes yes, I know I will be preaching to the fish the whole day but it is a sacrifice I will willingly do. Obviously the poll has other alternatives with which you may agree with. The choice is largely yours so please vote.

Today is the beginning of the week. We celebrate another 7 whole days of prosperous activity in our active town and, off course, reflect on last week. The past is useful to inform the future and guide the present.

Now take a moment to reflect. When you leave us think of something you did today and apply this knowledge to it.

There is a lot of cleaning going on and not enough people to help out. The priestess from the pulpit delivers yet another breathtaking mass and urges the populace to raise to the occasion and help move some chairs to the side, so more cleaning can be done.

Will someone hear this plea? Will the priestess be ignored? What is the future of the temple?
Mass of 8-December-1650 wrote:Community of Paz

Yesterday's heavy rains kept this temple closed and there was no mass. And today, as you can see, there is still much work to be done. I would request 2 kind souls to go here http://www.secfenia.com/forums/viewtopi ... 772#p43772 and help in any way they can moving some chairs to the side or something else.

Our town poll looking at mass service is well under way and finished today. May sure you cast your vote. They are non-refundable and non-returnable.

Today's mass is all about being positive when things seem to not be working right. Not to lose hope when things appear to have failed. To see problems as opportunities to improve oneself and reflect on current procedures and practices. To take time to step back and remember that we are human beings, prone to errors and other mishaps. Look at me for example: I am not perfect but I am honest about myself and work towards becoming a better priestess.

Now take a moment to reflect. When you leave us think of something you did today and apply this knowledge to it.
