ROLE PLAY CEREMONY FOR A BAPTISM wrote:

Second role play post wrote:Bowing his head towards <insert name of baptised to be>, he smiled.

The path you are taking today is an important journey. It is but one among many. Do not enter lightly as you will be a role model for others to follow the Faith.

<priest name> waves a hand revealing a potion in it.

Do you understand the commitment that you are about to start?
>>>> player replies <<<<
Third role play post wrote:<priest name> smiles and pulls out a second potion. One was clear. The other was a bubbling green potion.

In my hands, I have two potions.

The clear potion represents the appearance of many to be clear without any blemishes, but lacking any zeal, energy, or desire to improve.

The other potion represents your life in the future if you embrace the path of the Faith. You will always strive to improve, full of energy to do what is right, and the promise of your vows.

These potions should not be drank lightly. For once you have chosen the path, you have admitted your wholehearted decision to accept the Faith. Walking away from what you know to be right is the path to inner destruction.

I give you your choice. Pick your potion and drink.
>>>> player picks up a potion <<<<
Fourth role play post wrote:<priest name> smiled at the choice. Watching ___ drink, he rested upon his staff. It glowed green and watched as a green aura surrounded xxxxx for a moment.

By the power of the Mages, I hereby declare you to be a follower of the faith. May your days be blessed and your path clear. You are also a special convert as you are the first of this new generation to have taken this step. You will not be the last. I, hereby charge you with the Temple of Paz. Serve her well and she will give you bountiful children in the faith.

He bows his head making a circular motion with his staff in the air. A red fire emerged and slowly disappeared.
Clear Potion - looks calm and peaceful. Those who drink this potion lack the insight to look into their soul.

Green Bubbling Potion - a representation of someone who is willing to take the risk of looking in and doing something about it.

Today I speak of our Faith.

The Faith teaches that life is about choices and the consequences. You are not punished for ignorance, but rather for willing disobedience. It is essential that one tries to learn, but there will be times when one slips. It is not the slips that define us, but rather our choices and what we do about it.

The purpose of the faith is simple. To learn, to improve, and to guide. Through these, the converts can fulfill their calling.

Today I speak of our destiny.

It is everyone's goal to grow, chosing what path to take and accepting the consequences such choices may have. It is how we cope with our burden that shape who we are.

One of the things we all require are social acquaintances (social points) and each person can make two of these a week. Make sure you expand your social network and, if in doubt, our mentor Bacchus can also provide advice.

Indeed, we should think of ourselves as much as we should think about the common good. Remember: do to others what you want others to do to you. I myself follow the priest Vow of Humility:

"In the creation of all things, we were created equally. Over time things have changed, but a priest must vow to treats other as they wish to be treated if not better. They will never brag over their service and will humbly help when opportunities are present and it is sound for them to do so."

But how many priests may we know that do not follow this? Do not look at others for the bad example. Make your own path. Realise on own potential. Show that you can rise above and set the good example.

Now take a moment to reflect. When you leave us think of something you did today and apply this knowledge to it.

Go in tranquillity.

It is raining outside. But we are dry in this holy temple. It is cold outside. But we are warm here, among brothers and sisters. It is windy outside. But we are protected by these mighty walls.

Let these walls be your faith. Let you be warm with the kind hearts of your loved ones. Let this holy temple wash way your rain.

Now take a moment to reflect. When you leave us think of something you did today and apply this knowledge to it.

And as promised lets give thanks to Katarina, Evangeline, Gawain and Bethia who have donated a substantial amount of frezniks to the temple coffers. Another day for the beggars to celebrate!

There seems to have been some problems this morning to open the temple. Our High Mages have been alerted to this.

I look into the window of my mind
Reflections of the fears I know I've left behind
I step out of the ordinary
I can feel my soul ascending
I am on my way
Can't stop me now
And you can do the same

What have you done today to make you feel proud?
It's never too late to try
What have you done today to make you feel proud?
You could be so many people
If you make that break for freedom
What have you done today to make you feel proud?

Now take a moment to reflect. When you leave us think of something you did today and apply this knowledge to it.
