[Game] Vampyr Rat's Are Swarming the City

[Nikola]

Nikola was riding into Fenia from Firestorm Manor, enjoying a brisk ride on her beloved mare, Starr. She had heard about the rats in town. Vampyre rats were a particularly nasty variety of the creatures and posed more of an immediate threat to public safety than the usually benign, if pesky, run of the mill rat. As she drew near to town, she slowed Starr to a walk and began to watch carefully for any sign of the creatures.

[Adamus]

Adamus girded his loins and clattered out in his garlic stained armour to search the environs of Ella's Butcher Shop. There on the bloody grounds he searched diligently for the blood shot eyes and bloated bellies of the vampyre vermin. Surely this is the spot to find the fiendish beasts feasting. K8

[Mallory]

Her wagon, vardo, she corrected herself, was prepared. She was not willing to sleep anywhere in a town that had vampyr rats swarming. She knew she could lock her home down tight, and was quite sure it would take more than one night to take care of this problem. While others might search during the day Mele knew better. Vampyr, close to her own...situation, she knew they would thirst, and was chancing on them not being able to be out in the daylight. She, herself, had to be rubbed from head to toe in a special ointment to be in the sun. Others had offered daylight rings and such things, but her family had never been able to use them, according to her research. She doubted rats had anything of the sort. She clucked her tongue and set out on the road in the early morning sun. It hurt her eyes a bit, but she wanted to be in Fenia for the nightfall. It made sense that Lady Nightfall would search at nightfall, right? She giggled at her little mental pun. She hoped everyone was safe and no one was hurt, she wasn't sure if a vampyr bat could turn someone, but if they could, that would suck. Once again she dissolved into giggles. The trip took less time than she expected, perhaps planning battle strategy against tiny creatures did that? It wasn't the first time she'd been in battle, but last time she hadn't had a plan. She pulled into the city of Fenia well before dark, frustrated with herself. She'd moved too quickly to travel. She couldn't see well enough to engage in a hunt at this point. Her eyes were too sensitive from driving in the bright midday sun. Grumbling she set about securing the special covering for her vardo that Jandar had made and whimpered quietly missing Zipp and Jandar preparing for bed as she did. She hoped she kept her control here, it was, really her first time traveling without one of them. Zipporah helped her gain control and hopefully this would go well. She closed the final lock and knew she was safe to nap. When she woke it was nightfall as the shadows began creeping across the horizon. Silently she leapt free of her vardo, taking a knife and her baton. She carefully searched the area of F7

[Aishe]

There was one stop Aishe wished to make before starting to aid Fenia City of the rat crisis. Roses in hand, the queen pushed the gates of the Graveyard opened. Every so often, she made time to distribute roses to friends and strangers alike. All creatures were the same in death and in death, any grudges could give way to common decency. Perhaps it was silly, but with the restless dreams plaguing her lately, she felt the spirits were calling to her, demanding her attention and time.

Alongside her stood these misshapen creatures of scales and shadow. The two beasts stood on all fours, with ruby eyes and razor teeth, their backs nearly coming up to her waist. She had been without her two pets for some time now; Nisha had been doing some rigorous training with the unruly beasts that Akos had kind of just... Thrown in her direction. It was for her protection, of course, when they were in the Nether, but out in the real world, it felt a bit like overkill. The hounds kept close to her side, however, contrasting her pale hair and skin. Their temperament was better than it used to be; she had yet to admit aloud that she had actually missed the pair. She pulled her thick, fur-lined cloak tighter against the brisk winter chill, moving between the graves. She dropped off roses to the graves bare of anything but snow, leaving a bright mark of red so the spirits knew they were not forgotten.

With her pregnancy nearing what would be a human's third term, she may or may not have told her husband her intentions for the day. In all fairness, she could understand if the High King did not wish her to be participating in a potentially dangerous hunt, but... She was not going to sit by and do nothing to assist her fellow Fenians. Besides, she had the hounds and that seemed like a good enough excuse to do anything. She just needed to remind her spouses that she was not a delicate flower, but a rose full of thorn and sting. It was while she was placing the final rose that a rustle caught her attention. Straightening up slowly, bright eyes scanned the snow and stone landscape. A low snarl emitted from both beasts, the spikes down their spine growing rigid. Perhaps her hunt had begun before she even realized it.

[Mallory]

Sounds jumbled together as she darted forward, one hand outstretched to catch her prey. She'd caught a squirrel this couldn't be very different, could it? She followed the squeaky little blighter down the alleyway darting left in an attempt to catch it off guard, but she'd anticipated the wrong direction. The rat took off, darting in and out of the shadows, she tried to keep up with it's erratic movements. She nearly got close before slipping on the wet cobblestone beneath her feet. She slid to the side, one hand thrown out to catch herself. "You'd think being faster would make me less clumsy." she muttered, pushing back to her feet, growling at the mud soaking into material where her knee had touched down. "Bless it all to the seventh dimension of hades without a coin to pay." she stalked down the alleyway to her right muttering as she moved, finally she heard the tale tale scratch of tiny nails.

Amny pouts as she finds nothing. She decides to move to another section. Hopefully finding something at D7.

[Texas_Knight]

TK cursed, which was rare for him, he was late and he hated being late! He was in a foul mood and it showed as he neared the town in Lycan form. He used his nose to find the rats that were threatening his city. He would take his foulness out on them.

Xie (he/she) shrugged xer (her/him) shoulders and went to look in a different place. With not rats here it was fairly safe to say that another place would be better

[Nikola]

Starr’s ears twitched and Nikola looked in the direction they now pointed. There! One of the pesky critters was sitting on his hind legs holding a piece of … something … and nibbling away at it. She smiled and moved slowly, pointing to the rat and calling on her power to shoot a ribbon of white hot flame toward the creature. A terrified squeak, a puff of smoke, and a charred rat lay lifeless on the ground.

“Perfect!” she exclaimed to Starr who snorted and pawed at the ground. “You were a great help, girl,” she assured the mare and patted her neck. “Let’s keep moving inward and see what more we can find, shall we?” She urged Starr forward, drawing her bow this time, nocking it at the ready as she moved further into the town.
