The rustle grew. Aishe shifted, staring in the direction of the noise in search of the source. Movement was not the only noise that grew: the growls continued, now paired with the appropriate flash of teeth. It was without further notice that something came bolting behind a tombstone and directly at her. The lunge caused her to jump in reaction, but she otherwise remained still as she watched on in mild horror. Her beasts were quicker to react than she could say 'sweet Jilou', pummeling the squeaking creature into the ground beneath their large paws. It was all over in with a single exhale. Signs of some sort of struggle could be seen from the tussle of snow, but otherwise, there was no evidence of anything.

Blinking a few times, the pregnant queen looked between the black creatures who were now sitting, licking at their paws, in a very catlike manner. She shook her head to herself and moved forward. She thought that was a rat... It sounded like a rat. It was certainly the largest rat she had ever seen, but... Was it one of the vampyr rats the Fenian Mayor was going on about? She was not sure; she had seen no fangs. Then again, all in all, she saw very little.

She readjusted her cloak, mindful of her steps as to not trodden atop any graves. What were vampyr rats to begin with? She couldn't help but wonder if Logan Miller had something to do with these events... He was, by far, the most irresponsible and disrespectful vampire in the Kingdom of Fenia. Perhaps he was playing some sort of prank. Her beasts were quick to rejoin her side, but as she approached the Cathedral, she had half the mind to leave them outside. She debated only a moment before shoo'ing them off. One gave an irritated huff in response, sitting its rear down on the Cathedral's steps. Rolling her eyes, she muttered, My stubborn wife would stick me with stubborn beasts.

The vampire gave a dismissive wave to the creatures, deciding so long as they stayed outside of the Cathedral, it didn't matter where they sat and waited. Aishe pushed the Grand Cathedral doors open and stepped into its warmth. She was there with two intentions: 1) report the giant rat creature to whoever was on duty within these hallowed halls, 2) if there was a rat in the graveyard, it was possible there could be more lurking within this nearby shelter.

It appears I was not clear that the turn would happen every 24 hours. For that reason, I will be giving an additional 24 hours (until the 26th at 9 pm EST). After that, every turn will be 24 hours.

"The the university!" The cry could be heard from outside the massive building, only acting as a low muffled warning, before the doors were forced open to the university, the large heavy doors slamming violently up into an unfortunate student and teacher who happened to passe the doors at the wrong moment in time. Piles of papers, tools and books flies into the air, in a cascade of darkened parchment scrolls, colored covers and black ink, supplied by the chocked whines and cries of the unfortunate victims, as Argenth hurries past them in his mission to protect the most important treasure of all, knowledge. Only moments after Merek comes rushing in after him. "Argenth!!..." Only fractions of a second from falling flat against the floor as he nearly stumbles over the poor victimes, who's world seemed to have nearly ended as they were send flying backwards. He looks to them trying to decide if there got hurt when Argenth entered like a huricane through the doors and past the hallway. "I'm terribly sorry Ma'am, Miss." He quickly nods to them seeing no injuries other then the shock that could be read on their faces. "Argenth, slow down!" He yells after him in vain as he rushes after him, only forcing himself to stop up to appoligies to those unfortunate enough to cross their path with the man he was swarn to guard.

Doors are forced open, as Argenth makes his way past classroom after classroom. Students and teachers alike left shocked and in awe from the suddenly forced entries without warning, only for Merek to suddenly appear as he tries to catch the rampaging half-dragon. At the fourth classroom, a sudden burst of collective screams could be heard from within just as he were about to kick the door open. Entering the room, he could see a large group of frightened kids tugged up into a corner, and a group of red eyed drowling rats slowly encroaching on them in a half circle around the children. The rats turning to react to the rowdy entry of a new enemy. "Fear no...." He doesn't manage to finish, before one of the rats acting quickly, rushed towards Argenth leaping at his face. Inches from biting into his nose, an elecrified sword pierces into the side of the large beast, impaling it against a wall as it disintegrates. The other rats instictively reacting to the new threat, quickly escaped out one of the large windows, breaking the glass as they flee. Merek having thrown his sword, now grapping Argenth in the collar of his robe. "I have told you, never to run off on your own!" Pushing Argenth against the wall next to the pile of dust, the remnants of the disintegrated rat. "What is the matter? It all worked out in the end didn't it. The kids are safe, and one rat is dead." Argenth triumphantly grins back at the knight. "Next is the universaty's libary!" He proclaims in excitement, totally ignoring the the angered knight pushing him up against the wall, as the rescued childen looks with relieve and confusing at the scene infront of them.

Akos had searched high and low. Underneath stairs, bushes and even beneath a few peasants and their children who had the pallor of people who may have been bitten by something nefarious. Alas, her search had come up empty, and Akos grumbled to herself as she realised she would have to move to a different area in order to continue her search.

Duke sniffed about the midden heaps in A1 not really expecting to find anything, when suddenly, there one was, with beady red eyes.
Duke slipped into his hunting crouch, scarcely believing his A1 steak joke had actually paid off; it had been a while since he'd last chased a rat; or even a ball of yarn.
Prowling quietly into pouncing position Duke prepared to see if he still 'got it'; the right instinct after so many years of administrative docility.
... He Did! and swells with a sense of kitty pride; ah but it tastes bad, compared to fresh live rat; though there might be some use for it's blood. He will have to send Grandfather to collect the specimen shortly. Continues along the middens inspecting those that flow into area A2 for the next day.

Awakening from feaverd dreams, Adamus found himself covered in blood and lying in his (pet) bed with the corpse of a toothily gifted rat grasped in his claws. The worst of his wounds were covered by the last of his blessed cloth bandages.

Pondering his state of filthyness and exhaustion he arrived at the decision that throwing himself down the butcher's bloody drain into a hoard of vampyre rats may not have been the best of tactics. Tossing the rat's corpse to Old Dog, Adamus considered the virtues of subtlety, whatever that may be.

Nikola led Starr forward, using only her knees to guide the horse to the left or right. The mare's ears twitched again and Nikola followed the direction she was pointing in. There crouched the largest rat she had ever seen. Whereas the last one seemed docile enough, this one had seen them and was crouched as if planning to spring into an attack. Starr made no movement aside from a twitching of her neck muscles while Nikki drew her bow, The aquamarine gem embedded at its center lending a bonus in dexterity as she aimed at the rat. The rat bared its teeth as in a snarl, but she did not hear a sound. Bow was drawn fully and with the aid of her power she held it still until the rat moved, letting the arrow fly just as the rat leapt toward Starr. The collision of rat meeting arrow sent the rodent shooting up into the air before landing a mere pace from Starr's hooves. The rat twitched and Starr reared, crashing down on it with her hooves. It only took once and the rat was torn in two. "Good girl," Nikola soothed, patting the mare's neck before sliding out of the saddle to reclaim her arrow. After wiping off the rat guts, she replaced the arrow in her quiver and remounted. "Two down, more to go," she said to her horse and then looked around to see where to head to next. A flash of tail up ahead caught her eye and she urged Starr forward at a leisurely pace. No need to rush as she might miss the creature, or miss an attack from one so small. They might be large for rats, but all in all they were still small as targets.
