Having searched the area xie showed little to no emotion as she was confronted by the large agessive rat. There was even less emotion when out of the shadows a claw swiftly grabs the creature and despite its struggles drags in down into the darkness.
For a few moments xie watches then satisfied its not coming back xie moves onto look for the next one

[Argenth]

This time getting escorted by Merek, they enters university libary. Bookscases lined up, covers the walls and expanding in rows into the large room. In the middle of the room, two lines of study benches with tables sits thightly together, both lines of bench and table sets facing towards one another.
On the first floor, even more bookscases could be seen on the walk-ways above them surrounding in a oval.
The place was quiet, yet bussed with activity, students moving around gathering materials for studies. Mentors guiding new students through the different sections of the libary and the categories they contained. The place seemed completely unaware of the looming threat to the very treasures they held in their hands.
"Do not cause a scene, Argenth!" Merek hissed in a low warning. "The last we need, is another panic." And just as Argenth was about to respond to the accusations, he was halted by a warning finger pointing at him, before Merek began his search for the pesky critters.
Standing behind for a few moments concidering a plan of action, he very quickly gets distracted by a group of young students talking of an annoying mentor, who had cought them trying to sneak into a closed off area of the libary. Curiousity sparked with the new found knowledge of this closed off area, only for the higher ranked teacher and lorekeepers, Argenth quietly slipped away. Not long after, Argenth could be found seated at one of the study bench and table sets, with a pile of very old and dusty looking books, and reading a tome bound in questionable materials.

[OOC: Argenth is too distracted with reading and won't move this turn. ]

The middens in A2 proved to be empty.
...of the target creatures anyway.
Finished with his poking amongst them Duke ambles don own the way until he comes to the road.
He decides to follow the road up into A3 first.

[Mallory]

It took her precious little time to set chase to another sound, this time carefully placing her feet as she ran to avoid the more slick looking parts. Quietly she slowed her steps as she neared the squeaky sound she heard. Quietly she moved, slowly, easing forward until she had a direct line of sight on her target. Then she went running forward at her fastest speeds darting for the small creature. She grabbed it carefully. She had absolutely zero desire to take a life, she had no plans to kill anything. She hoped to rehabilitate the ones she captured. Take them home, maybe teach them to eat other animals like she did. you could train animals she was told. Her hands closed around it and carefully she did not hold overly tightly, unfortunately this allowed it to bite the skin between her thumb and pointer finger. Without thinking she threw the rat, hard, at the wall, anything to dislodge it from it's grip on her hand. It was only when her sensitive hearing picked up on the sickening thud that she realized what she'd done. It was not false tears that trailed down her face as she picked the tiny broken body up, thanking the mages that the creature had not suffered in the end. Still she tore a piece from her skirt before fashioning a funeral shroud for the poor creatures and tossing it into the nearby fire that was burning, just in case they regenerated like she could. She shook herself slightly and then let her feet take her away from the creature still burning, her heart ached at the thought that she'd taken another life.

[Aishe]

Aishe wandered for a while, listening to quiet prayers, footsteps, and the rustle of parchment. There was little out-of-the-ordainary to note within the Grand Cathedral. After some time in the peace, she made the decision to venture back outside. Leaving the warmth behind, she pulled the cloak closer as the door shut. Her little (big) beasties perked up at the sight of her, resuming their place at her side while she descended the salted stairs.

Hands clasped atop her growing abdomen, the Fenian queen left the holy grounds and moved onto the streets. It had been both a disappointment and a relief to find the Cathedral void of the weird rats, but she knew they were still out there. Rat nests were a thing, right? Her brows knitted together in thought as blue eyes scanned the streets and nearby buildings. She found one rat in this area, surely there were others. Looking at the two mounds of shadow, she decided to put them to use. After all, they seemed to enjoy the first one as a 'snack'.

[Akos]

She'd decided to keep to the shadows this time around, hoping that a little bit of stealth might aid her search. Akos slipped from one shadow to the next, mind alert and doing her best to pay attention to as much of the space as possible. She'd been focusing on the nooks and crannies, so was more than a little bit annoyed when she finally spotted one of the rats just sitting out in the middle of the street. Seemingly minding its own business as people payed it no attention as the passed it by. Akos watched the critter for a few moments, attempting to get an idea of its temperament. It didn't appear to show any signs of aggression as it happily cleaned at its face, its small paw running over a tiny fang as it did so.

Satisfied with her observations, Akos stepped forward, determination to catch the small creature painted across her features. The rat seemed to sense her intentions however, as it darted away just as Akos was leaning in for the not-kill. With a hurrumph of annoyance and hands fisted against her hips, Akos took a moment to decide if she should stay in the area and hope the rat would reappear or take a chance at moving on to a different part of the city.


(OOC: Are we allowed to actually stay in the one spot and try again? If so, I shall stay here, otherwise let's go for J12)

[Texas_Knight]

TK was stunned that he didn't find any rats and kept searching the same area even after it was clear that there was nothing to be found. He tore part of the wall out to see if they were hiding behind it, tore part of the floor up to see if they were under it, even climbed up in the ceiling to see if the little demon spawn were hiding up there. When he awoke it was clear that a whole day had passed and his opportunity to check another spot would have to wait. So he spent the day repairing that which he had destroyed in his vain efforts. After studying the map again he found a spot where the rats had to be holed up and raced to get there.
