Aishe watched curiously as her beasties moved away from her. Noses twitching, they trotted in opposite directions in the commanded search. She wandered a bit herself, if just to keep the frost off. A sharp bark caught her attention, blue eyes darting to a roll of shadows and tuffs of hair. Just as before, it was over quickly. Brow furrowed, she glanced about to the odd end creatures nearby that witnessed that.

That's one less vampiric rat for Fenia City!

Offering a smile in attempt to promote it was a good deed and not some act of horror, she awkwardly turned around and clicked her tongue for the hounds to follow. This area seemed well infested, so they would proceed a bit further down the street and continue their hunt.

Amnestria transforms in her frustration and let's out a roar. The stupid rats were nowhere to be found. She glares about before moving to another location, still a bit peeved she found nothing in any of her locations. I9

Badger Adamus mused on subtlety. Traps, traps are subtle. Adamus could make a trap. He remebered the box trap his dam had once stumbled thorugh. There hadn't been much left of it once Mum was finished with it, but it was a source of some ideas. Adamus drifted on with make shift plans forming in his thoughts and dreams.

In the morning, Adamus gathered supplies and tromped into Fenia, Fenia to construct the perfect Vampyre rat trap. He erected a pole to support a pulley through which a rope supported two water skins. One directly above the target, the other resting against a shield. Then he put the three sided box on the target spot. His carefully constructed box consisted of a see-saw floor, three walls of relatively flimsy construction, the center one holding the blood soaked blessed cloth he had used on his recent wounds, and a ceiling. The ceiling was his master piece. It was made of sturdy oak and supported a dozen wooden spikes, pointed side down.

That left just a wire placed to release the arrow from his bow when the see-saw floor was tilted toward the baited back wall. He was reluctant to let the bow out of his posession. He had practicaly mastered it and was superstitiously certain keeping the bow near him would eventually provide the mastery he felt just beyond his claw tips. Still, needs drive. Reverently he steadied the bow between a stone on the ground and the underside of a window ledge. His trap was complete.

In his mind Adamus could see how it would work. The vampyre rat drawn by the odor of blood would enter the box. The rat's weight would swing the floor down, releasing the wire, bow, and arrow in that order. The arrow would penetrate the first water skin and impale itself in the shield. This last for the safety of some passing rube. As the first water skin emptied the one on the other end of the rope would accelerate down onto the roof of the box. The weak sides of the box would colapse and the spiked ceiling would impale the rat. There could be no doubt of the resulting death of the vampyre rat.

Adamus settled on his haunches to watch the fruition of his subtle trap.

If it wasn't for the fact that she'd seen one with her own eyes, Akos would have begun to think that this whole vampyr rat thing was an elaborate hoax.

For some reason she'd decided that the best approach would be to shadow jump herself around to different parts of the city, without any actual plan of action.

The rascal was long gone by the time Nikola and Starr reached the area she wanted to search. This time she decided to search on foot and stabled Starr at the castle where the mare would get oats and other treats while her mistress was out hunting rats. Back on the hunt, she began systematically searching the area she had decided might hold a nest of the vile creatures, hoping to find more to kill. She had two kills under her belt and hungered for more. She wondered whether being around TK had somehow heightened her taste for the hunt or whether she was simply just finding out how much she enjoyed it.

His newly aquired read was strangely attaching, as if the book wouldn't let go of him. He had wondered why the university had hide it and the rest of the pile away from the public view, it should be a crime to hide knowledge away from those that seeked it's revelations!
The more he read the more absorbed he became. Yet he new only one voice annoying enough inculpatory drag him out of his peace of mind... Merek... The knight, and self-proclaimed guardian's voice could be hear somewhere in the crow of students and visitors, calling out for Argenth, searching for him as if he was expecting him to have already caused a minor catastrophe. Quickly Argenth stuffed the tome and the other shady books that had been kept hidden and locked away, into his backpack, just in time for a heavy hand to land and grip onto his shoulder. "There you are..." An annoyed wrinkle crossed over the knight's forehead. "Now, tell me what messed have you pulled out after suddenly disappearing...?" He tried patiently, as if a parent had caught their child in the middle the act, which was answered with a simple confused look with a tilted head, as Argenth shrugged. "That is it, there is no more rats here, we are leaving and I will make sure you finish the task, that you yourself signed up to. No more slacking around, lets go." The knight dragged Argenth behind out of the libary, and out the front entrance of the university.
