Genova had been watching Teide everyday in silence. She intentionally hid from her friend for she wanted dear Teide's thoughts to unfold on her own without her interference. Oh, how she wanted to talk to her friend and listen to her heartaches. The problem was, she felt as though if Teide would pour her grievances, they would come back to life and the last thing that Gen wanted was to cause further pain to her dear friend.

So in silence, she watched her friend everyday and sometimes walked behind her without her friend being aware of it. At times, she would mimic Teide's expressions just for the fun of it. Oh, if only Teide could see her, they would be howling in laughter. She could not wait to do some funny pranks to her friend again.

And just as she was about to do one, she was surprised when her friend barged in giving orders regarding a house renovation. Before she knew it, children were running around the place that used to be their silent home; well, it was silent when Teide had no explosive experiments. She looked curiously at the new visitors and she almost broke a vase when she moved back (of course she would not break the vase as she's already a ghost!) out of surprise.

She saw Karcier and Faia's children---her niece and nephew! Oh, how she wanted to hug them! She was about to when she realized that she might scare them. Well, that or Teide might threaten to hit her head with a spirit-hitting frying pan for being absent for so long. What can she say, then? Could she get away with the excuse of she was busy cleaning her side of the house when it was kept clean anyway? Or that she was busy looking for the soul of Karcier or was trying to run away from his soulful chakarmswhatever blast that she used to run from when they were still alive. Oh, the joys of being the younger twin.

She froze in horror at the thought of Teide taking care of a younger version of Karcier and Genova. She hoped that Teide made the house extra tough or the whole chalet would be torn down in a span of five years, more or less. But then again, as they were also Faia's children, she hoped that they were more behaved than she and her twin were.

So one weekday morning, after the twins were sent off to whatever thievery or swimming lessons for the day, Gen decided to make herself visible again to Teide. And out of the blue, she suddenly stood beside her friend. "I hope my niece and my nephew are not as naughty as me and my brother," she said and smiled at Teide.

He followed the map, that stragely enough was on a shoulder blade, until he spotted the building teide told him about, he looked through a window to see if anyone is home then knocked on the door.

Maria was sweeping out soot around the chimney in the front room when her keen ears caught the tapping on the door. She had to pause for a long moment and double take. So strange was it to get visitors out here she was fast pressed to believe she must've imagined it. Then just as she was about to dismiss it and resume sweeping there came another knock. She looked around. Teide was just in the kitchen but by the lack of movement she guessed her mistress has no intention of answering, leaving yet another mundane task to her exhausted slave! Yes, Maria was becoming a slave. When she signed on for this job there were no kids or much for house chores because the midget was never home. Now there were two little terrors and the house was always a mess. On top of that there was the shop she was expected to keep up and the deliveries and ordering inventory....and she had to the fields to upkeep....if Teide was going to start inviting people over she was going to eat someone! Another annoying knock. The golden brow furrowed into a scowl, the green eyes shifted to an irritated gold and she stalked over to the door.

Swinging it open the visitor was greeted by a 6'3 tall, golden haired giant of a woman with taunt, firm muscle that could crack a skull open and a glower that could send a troll back to his hole. Her jaw was set and her gaze mean but she didn't lack a certain sense of sultry beauty with those rather generous curves. Still she looked about as friendly as a bear with a hangnail. "Were not interested in what you are selling. Take a hike before my foot gets shoved so far up your hindquarters it breaks your skull open." a wolfish growl rumbled out of her throat and she slammed the door on his face so fast it threatened to break his nose if he wasn't fast enough. She muttered, "Salesmen...too rotten to chew." she looked at the floor around the door and she had tracked soot all the way to the door.

Knocks at the door again: "When its the last time you saw salesmen in chainmail and with weapons on them? Where is Teide?"

Maria pauses and thinks about that. So in proper procedure she drops the broom and grabs the heavy oak and glass coffee table by one leg easily and hauls it over her shoulder. She walks back across the room, opens the front door and using one hand swings it at him, determining to bludgeon him to death with the coffee table. As Teide had ordered, that anyone who came to the door armed was to be exterminated. Since Teide never gave out her address, and usually told those she did, not to come armed. So it was a natural reaction to assume he was an enemy. If Maria missed she was going to swing it to the side and get the cockroach in the ribs. Despite being in human form Maria was far more powerful than your average human man and gifted swifter reflexes. Glass shattered as the coffee table came down and wood splintered giving her a good weapon in a heavy wooden table leg.

He was happy he was still carrying the shield on his arm when the coffee table hit it and send him flying for a good 10 meters, he quickly jumped to his feet, put the shield between them, drew the axe and yelled at her: "Who are you and what did you do to Teide?"

Maria raises one eye brow and pauses. She looks at the crumbled coffee table and glass....the nice club she was holding and his shield and axe. She'd admit his question was a little odd coming from an intruder....but hey intruders could be smart too and trying to get past her. It was better to kill him now and ask for forgiveness later. Now she looked around where he was standing. Teide should have told a guest two things really. One, don't come to the door armed and two....the lawn was full of traps. If he didn't know either of those things than no way he was welcome. Simple. Maria kicked the coffee table at him with one powerful swipe aiming it at his axe hand to get his meddlesome weapon out of his hand. Then the large woman charged forward with her club in hand right after the coffee table.

As the coffee table was flying towards him he used the shield to catch and deflect it,making a pirouette on the spot to use the kinetic energy the table carried, unfortunately the shield was damaged beyond use, it literally crumbled to bits, he quickly drew the sword with his free hand and made sure the the first thing the woman will run into is his sword, the axe ready to bite into her flesh as soon as she gets in range.

Maria was charging right at him but in instinctive reflex caught herself just out of range of the sword and jabbed the club into the ground in front of him. There was a click and a snap as a net of magical energy formed to ensnare him. The whole lawn was littered with magical traps meant to halt an enemies advance and Maria knew where every one of them were. She gave him a fanged grin and moved back swiftly with great dexterity for her size. The glimmer in her golden eyes fixed on him as she hoped to trap him for Teide to investigate whether he was really a friend as his statements claimed or a foe as she was suspecting for his foolish lack of knowledge of Teide's regular protocol.

"How do I know you are really not here to hurt them? You come armed to the door and that is the first sign of intruder here. No one comes here. You think the mistress is sociable?"
she laughs.

Holding her club out she snorts at him, "Name and purpose before I get serious."

When he heard the click he feared it was a bear trap, he jumped back to protect his feet only to have them surrounded by a magical neck, he keeps the sword pointed towards Maria as he tries to get on his feet.
"Them? Teide told me to come here, even gave me a map, what did you do to her?"
