Wednesday's Mass:

Don’t leave anything for tomorrow. If you need to do something..do it today, do it now! Cherish those special ones that you have in your life… those who are waiting to hear your voice… those who are longing for your company. Don’t take anything that you have in your life for granted because what you have today might not be yours tomorrow. Sometimes life grants you special wishes and brings special things your way but if you don’t appreciate that then it might not be with you for a long time. Appreciate what you have while you have it because there is always someone waiting to pick it up where you left it.

Blessings to you all!

Friday's Mass

The Wise Old Man

A wealthy man requested an old scholar to wean his son away from his bad habits. The scholar took the youth for a stroll through a garden. Stopping suddenly he asked the boy to pull out a tiny plant growing there.

The youth held the plant between his thumb and forefinger and pulled it out. The old man then asked him to pull out a slightly bigger plant. The youth pulled hard and the plant came out, roots and all. “Now pull out that one,” said the old man pointing to a bush. The boy had to use all his strength to pull it out.

“Now take this one out,” said the old man, indicating a guava tree. The youth grasped the trunk and tried to pull it out. But it would not budge. “It’s impossible,” said the boy, panting with the effort.

“So it is with bad habits,” said the sage. “When they are young it is easy to pull them out but when they take hold they cannot be uprooted.”

The session with the old man changed the boy’s life.

Moral: Don’t wait for Bad Habits to grow in you, drop them while you have control over it else they will get control you.

Blessings to you all.

Sunday's mass:

"Wherever my story takes me, however dark and difficult the theme, there is always some hope and redemption, not because readers like happy endings, but because I am an optimist at heart. I know the sun will rise in the morning, that there is a light at the end of every tunnel."

Wednesday's mass:

"Chronic remorse, as all the moralists are agreed, is a most undesirable sentiment. If you have behaved badly, repent, make what amends you can and address yourself to the task of behaving better next time. On no account brood over your wrongdoing. Rolling in the muck is not the best way of getting clean."

Life is an opportunity, benefit from it.
Life is beauty, admire it.
Life is a dream, realize it.
Life is a challenge, meet it.
Life is a duty, complete it.
Life is a game, play it.
Life is a promise, fulfill it.
Life is sorrow, overcome it.
Life is a song, sing it.
Life is a struggle, accept it.
Life is a tragedy, confront it.
Life is an adventure, dare it.
Life is luck, make it.
Life is too precious, do not destroy it.
Life is life, fight for it.

Blessings to you all.

Wednesday's mass:

"Love is friendship that has caught fire. It is quiet understanding, mutual confidence, sharing and forgiving. It is loyalty through good and bad times. It settles for less than perfection and makes allowances for human weaknesses."

The Fence

A long time ago there was a boy. He was smart, talented and handsome. However, he was very selfish and his temper was so difficult, that nobody wanted to be friends with him. Often he got angry and said various hurtful things to people around him.

The boy‘s parents very concerned about his bad temper. They considered what they could do and one day the father had an idea. He called his son and gave him a hammer and a bag of nails. The father said: "Every time you get angry, take a nail and drive into that old fence as hard as you can.”

The fence was very tough and the hammer was heavy, nevertheless the boy was so furious that during the very first day he has driven 37 nails.

Day after day, week after week, the number of nails was gradually decreasing. After some time, the boy started to understand that holding his temper is easier that driving nails into the fence.

One day the boy didn't need a hammer and nails anymore as he learned to hold his temper perfectly. So he came to his father and told about his achievement. "Now every time, when you hold your temper all day long, pull out one nail.“

Much time has passed. At last the boy could be proud of himself as all the nails were gone. When he came to his father and told about this, he offered to come and take a careful look at the fence. "You did a good job, my son, but pay your attention to the holes that left from the nails. The fence will never be the same. The same happens when your say hurtful things to people, as your words leave scars in their hearts like those holes in the fence. Remember, we need to treat everyone with love and respect, because it doesn't matter, that you say you are sorry, the scars will not disappear."

Blessings to all!

Friday's mass:

"True love is not a strong, fiery, impetuous passion. It is, on the contrary, an element calm and deep. It looks beyond mere externals, and is attracted by qualities alone. It is wise and discriminating, and its devotion is real and abiding."

Light a fire by the lake.
Never let your friendships break.
Always live without regret.
Don't give up, not now, not yet.
Know the future isn't set.
Appreciate what love you get.

I know that nature's trees are tall,
There's some you cannot climb at all -
Full in Spring ''til Autumn's Fall,
Covered in a winter shawl.

And as the seasons come and go,
You'll see the stream begin to grow.
Filled by your whole life you know,
Carried in the winds that blow.

Listen to the song it sings -
Love and peace is what it brings.
Sharing all the little things,
Smoothing over dents and dings.

That's what living's all about.
Never fill it up with doubt.
Look real close to find this out-
Always seek the kinder route.

And you will see, friend,
That this dreamy life, it has no end.
There's always more beyond the bend,
Nature's hand, a limb, to lend.

Blessings to you all!
