The journey across the straits between Zion and Kiene went smoothly. A warm breeze helped to push them along and keep spirits high. There was a bit of concern at one point when the starboard sounder called out 15. The sails where dropped to half full and a slight turn to Port was made.
A small pod of dolphins followed the ship for a few nautical miles entertaining Tuv, Jim, and a few of the lookouts. As they drew nearer to the forest ismouth north of Safine, the crew was shocked to see a large whale breach the water and create a huge splash between themselves and the coastline. This continued for several minutes and at one point Tuv thought he saw a few Xanthreels fall off or away from the whale.
This caused a bit of concern for a moment as he thought about Wyl being caught in this. He shook this off feeling believing that Wyl would have said something if she encountered them.
As dusk was beginning to settle in, orders were shouted out for the watch lights to be lit and the sails lowered. Morning should let them see the outer reaches to the approach into Safine and if the reckoning was correct to be able sail in with the tide.
Content with everything, Tuv headed towards the Galley and the smell of roasted salmon and fresh pasta drifting up making his stomach growl...

Captain's Log. The Aerandir 27 March 1663

Our current destination is almost in sight. We have crossed the Straits between Zion and Keine with no issues. Spotted a whale that we believe to have been battling or eating a few Xanthreels. We entered into the waters on the south side of the forest archipelago to the North of Safine as dusk came upon us. As the tide was going out we have lowered the sails and will enter into the Port of Safine on the morn as the tide comes in. All are looking forward to having Wyl back on board.

Tuv had a rough time trying to sleep. His thoughts kept focusing on Wyllow. He drifted from the joy of reuniting with her to the worry that she was injured, still missing, or lost somewhere again.
As daybreak was approaching, he decided to go ahead and get up. After getting dressed and cleaned up, he headed out onto the main deck. He greeted those crew members who were on duty and noticed Sam and Jim up at the Helm.
As he made his way up to the Helm, Tuv could smell the aroma of fresh tea drifting down and mixing with the smell of saltwater.
Tuv greeted both men as he poured himself a cup.
"Well gentlemen, hopefully today we shall have Wyl back among us. Jim lets raise the sails, head to the mouth of the harbor and signal the Harbor Master." Tuv stated between sips.
Tuv leaned up on the railing as Jim barked out the orders. A few hours later they were at the entrance to the Harbor and the Harbor Master was coming on board.
Welcome aboard The Aerandir Harbor Master. You are free to take us in at your leave" Tuv said as he helped him to the main deck. The Harbor Master thanked him as the two made their way to the Helm.
Jim saluted him and handed control over two him. Shortly there after the sleek Galleon, with her orange sails at half mast eased into the Harbor of Safine and docked alongside pier 6.
Tuv thanked him and asked for directions to the temple. After getting them, Tuv disembarked from The Aerandir, headed towards the temple, and hoped to soon see his lovely bride...

Tuv arrived at the temple where he immediately went over and lit a candle before taking a spot on his knees before the altar. He spent several minutes in prayer before he heard someone approaching. Turning around he saw one of the local deacons. Rising up he greeted the deacon and inquired about Wyl. The deacon reported that she was indeed in town and he believes he saw her headed towards the lake just outside of town.
Tuv laughed inwardly at this, thanked the deacon, dropped a few coins in the offering box, and headed towards the direction of the lake. He enjoyed the walk as the weather was nice on this early spring morning. He thought back to how on a similar day ten years ago the Mages brought him and Wyl together. As he neared the end of the path near the lake, he could see the pier and he quickly spotted a small boat out on the lake. He could make out the figure in the boat and he knew immediately that his wife was in the boat. He chuckled as he stated, her and her passion for fishing is going to get her in trouble once again.
Tuv stat down on the dock, took his boots off, rolled up his pants legs, and grabbed the snack and flask of water out of his backpack. He then sat down on the edge of the dock, dangled his feet over the edge, had his snack and just took in the day as he watched his wife off in the distance enjoying herself as she fished.

Tuv enjoyed sitting on the dock watching Wyl fish from the small boat she had. He thought it funny that it was such a vessel that began this latest series of events that led them here to Safine. About mid afternoon, he noticed that she was rowing her way back towards the dock. She had her back towards him, so he was sure that she hadn't spotted him as of yet. He moved to the end of the dock, sat down again, and when Wyl was close enough, kicked at the water splashing her.

"You know one of these days fishing just might get you trouble young lady" Tuv said as she whirled around to see who had splashed her. The shock and surprise in her eyes were well worth it. Wyl literally jumped out of the boat, onto the dock, and into Tuv's arms. He grabbed her and hugged her tight as he leaned over and kissed her deeply. It is great to have you back again my love. I hope you are physically okay after the ordeal of being out at sea.

Tuv honestly did not care what the answer was. He was just happy to feel her against him, to feel her breath, and feel her heart beating against his chest. He then helped her gather her catch and the two of them began heading back towards town and The Aerandir.

As they walked, Tuv shared the story of their search for Wyl and how they had gotten off course. He also shared how they had obtained some newer charts, how Sam missed her skill in the galley, and how they wanted to now head north to Inez and then on towards the Isle of 4 Towns. As they walked along, Tuv noticed that Wyl apparently was favoring one of her ankles. Tuv knew something was concerning Wyl, but he decided to let it go, as he was happy to have her back. As they rounded the corner that led to where The Aerandir was docked, Tuv paused as he looked on at the masterful work that was his Galleon. He glanced over at Wyl as he said "She is something to behold, is she not. Please don't do anything again to bring about the emptiness that caused me to pour my soul into this so I didn't have to face the thought of you being lost to me.

With his free hand he grabbed Wyl by the waist as he led the two of them towards the gangplank and up onto the main deck...

The shouts of joy and gratitude as Wyl and Tuv came aboard The Aerandir was music to Tuv's ears. It seems that the crew missed her almost as much as he did. It was good to have the full crew back together again. As Tuv helped to escort his wife to their cabin, he could help but feel a sense of pride swell up in him. It was all he could do to keep the tears back. When they were back inside their cabin and away from the crew, Tuv took Wyl into his arms, pulled her tight, held her close, and let the tears and all the pent up emotions flow out from his core. In between sobs he stated"I was so afraid that I had lost you again. I only just got you back and the thought of loosing you was almost too much. I think I went 4 days without sleeping as I stood constant watch looking for any sign of you and or the missing dingy. Jim finally forced me into this room to sleep. Yet the lingering scent of you on the sheets was a constant reminder of my loss and failure to protect you. I don't know if I can do that again." Tuv had already given Jim the orders to set sail on the tide and to make way northerly towards the Port of Tahira. Knowing that Tuv then picked up Wyl, carried her to their bed, laid her on it, and then curled up next to her, holding her tight and just rested with her in his arms...

Tuv awoke around noon. He rolled onto his side to make sure it wasn't just a dream. He smiled as he saw and felt Wyllow next to him. He sat there just watching her sleep. He slowly got up, got dressed, and made his way up to the Helm. Jim greeted him and informed him that the were preparing to take The Aerandir into the Port of Tahira. Tuv told him to continue on. Knowing that all was in capable hands, Tuv made his way up into the bowsprite, sat down, let's his legs hang down, and just stared out at the horizon and the Port. As he did so he prayed to The Light thanking him for the blessings he had received...

Captain's Log-- The Aerandir 4 April 1663

A lot has transpired over the days since my last entry. We made it back south to the Port of Safine. There we were able to reunite with Wyllow. Having here back on board greatly improved overall morale. We then set sail north as we set sail towards the Port of Tahira. As we crossed the Straits of Zion, we spotted what looked like a battle between a whale and a few Xanthreels. Steering clear of that we made it to Tahira. On the morning we plan to catch the tide and head to the Isle of 4 Towns, docking first at Curea.

As dawn broke on the town of Tahira, the crew of The Aerandir was already at work. A light haze hung over the harbor, but it failed to dampen their spirits. Tub was already up, having decided to let his lovely bride Wyl sleep.
As he took his normal spot on the Helm deck next to Jim, he took in with pride all that was going on. As he said a quick prayer to The Light, he poured his customary morning tea and took a look at the sea charts.
The plan today was to head north across the channel to the Isle of 4 Towns and the Port of Curea. In talking with local sailors, Tuv was told the Port city was something to admire. Some of the tales reminded him of his childhood and his first days at sea.
Around mid afternoon the Port of Curea came into sight. The array of the forest surrounding the city drew Tuv's mind back to his childhood. The sun hitting the white marble buildings and the clean salt air had the feelings of an Elvish influence. Shortly thereafter they were docking in the harbor. Tub gave the crew a few hours liberty so that everyone could explore.
Before he disembarked, Tuv kissed Wyl saying he wanted to visit the local Temple. He also told her to feel free to shop, but to not fill the ship. Having said that he headed off into the city of Curea...

Tuv and the crew of The Aerandir enjoyed their time in Curea. The fishing town was friendly and welcoming to them all. Tuv and Wyl spent most of the day walking arm in arm around the town visiting the various markets and enjoying the time together. Tuv was even able to manage to keep Wyl's spending to a reasonable level. As late afternoon approached they made their way back to the ship, Tuv carrying a rather nice looking Tuna flank that Wyl had acquired. As Tuv took it to the Galley, Sam's eyes lit up as he knew Wyl would be down shortly to help him prepare it. Tuv just smiled as he laid it down on the table and headed back up to the main deck.
Tuv made his way up to the Helm Deck and he and Jim both decided to sail around to the far side of Absynia and the capital of Joie in the morning. That decided orders and plans were laid in and when completed, Tuv headed off to his cabin to relax before Sam informed him that dinner was ready...
