	Dear Diary, Narcisos, a man of strong stature and gentle demeanor, renowned for his skill in coaxing life from the earth with practiced hands and an unwavering dedication to the botanical arts…is my current nemesis. I was doing reconnaissance on the royal gardens. I had heard whispers of the old goat having a hand in turning the royal gardens into a sanctuary of tranquility. And I had to see it for myself. Sure, the azaleas bloomed vibrantly, the hedges stood tall and neatly trimmed, and the pathways were lined with impeccably groomed shrubs… all seemed well and good. Alas, there is a quarrel happening in the gardens. How does one explain to a mortal that the planted spruce and oak trees were not friends? Their roots intertwined beneath the surface, competing for nutrients and water. Each morning, the oak would extend its limbs a little wider trying to encroach upon the spruce's territory. In response, the spruce would stand a little taller, its branches reaching ever higher to catch more sunlight and assert its presence. Those brats have caused unnecessary stress to the shrubs! Anyway, I asked Queen Ella (very nicely in my opinion), if Mahdeya could boil the blood of the gardener. She said no! It wasn't like I was asking for his death! Just a little boil… Very sad,

	Dear Diary, I would ask for help, however, you are simply an inanimate object. I do believe I need help though. My wife has decided to teach my class at the university today. Which is alarming in and of itself, but what is further concerning is that the class is called ‘Honing the Mind.’ Not even the Mages can guess what she might do with this. Surely this is a clever idea of hers to put stuff in my head. “Zephyr must be home for dinner every day by 6 pm.” “Zephyr must offer daily foot rubs to his amazing wife, Nisha.” “Zephyr must always send his wife gifts.” She has incredible wit, so I’m sure her ideas are much more dangerous than that. 	Dear Diary, I have concocted the most devious plan to punish my dear husband. You see, he has abandoned me for weeks, tending to a teething baby. So, I have decided to teach his university classes. If you were a living being capable of speech, you would be asking me how that could be considered punishment. Knowledge is good, is it not? Wrong! The thing is, he imagines me as some sort of masterful mind-bender, capable of implanting the most wicked ideas in a man's mind. The reality is far more ordinary: I am merely following the "Honing the Mind" curriculum set by the rector, but he doesn't know that. 	Dear Diary, Now that my wife has adequately brainwashed me, she has abandoned me with our daughter so that she can hunt monsters. 	Dear Diary, I might have made a terrible mistake. I met this really nice lady and made a deal with her. She would clean out mines of yvyrms and I would call her husband "father". Do not ask my why. I do not understand the inner workings of marriage, it all sounds very complicated. Anyway, I may have gotten a teeny tiny bit carried away and challenged him to a bit of father-daughter sparring.
