POV: Amelia
"Yes, I can make you a crown." Amelia smiled at her little sisters. "I'll make all us crowns and then we can play queens!"
'Queens', a favourite game for the young Romany-Fenian princesses. It was a game in which they all get to play a queen of their own nation, with their own princesses (dolls) and sometimes even knights if they felt like involving their brothers. Since Ambrose was hanging out with them this afternoon, they would have what they liked to call 'lord protector', who protected all of the queens, instead of one of them getting a knight and the others not.
Being the eldest girl from the royal marriage, Amelia was proving to be a natural leader. This would be a good trait for her throughout her life as she was Kusi Palla, the heir to the Boreens Durri Natsia. She was not Aishe's eldest daughter; in fact, Aishe had two daughters older than Amelia named Meira and Aileigh. However, Meira had not been raised Romany, growing up away from Aishe under the care of her father, Draven, and had little interest in their mother's culture. Aileigh, on the other hand, had once been Kusi Palla herself, but made the decision following Amelia's birth to pass the position to her. Aileigh would someday serve as Taibhsear of the Boreens Durri and advisor for Amelia instead of taking their mother's place as Kralisi, claiming that their people would better accept Amelia as their queen and that she would someday be a good queen for them.
For now though, she was simply four and a half year old girl. Perhaps she had a big destiny ahead of her, but presently, she was going to make flower crowns for herself and her three younger sisters. Maybe even a leaf one for their lord protector. The five children headed off towards the garden, as it had the best selection of flowers to pick. Their mother's obsession of flowers and gardens brought bright colours to the landscape at the Latchom Kan Villa, but majority of the flowers were in the cliff-side garden that bloomed year round thanks to a magical heat bubble during the colder months.
As they approached, Amelia saw the familiar black curls of their younger-turning-older sister. She wondered if Astra would be interested in playing too, but she honestly wasn't sure. The two sisters had vastly different interests and while they got along because Amelia got along with everyone, Astra was often what the adults called a loner. So, it was to her surprise that she saw Astra was not actually alone as they got closer. In fact, she had quite a large company before her - nearly all the Vale-Sanchari children. It was strange to think, but Amelia and her siblings were actually the aunts and uncles of the Vale-Sanchari children, even though Yara and Nox were actually older than them. This little detail did not damper their relationships though, proving them to be more like siblings or cousins than anything else.
"Uh, hi! What's going on?" Amelia asked, announcing their presence. Behind and beside her stood four of her siblings: twins Aileanóra and Ambrose, and twins Aingeal and Andreaa.
