A Trip to Imperius

Emerald walked him to the door, she felt his kiss on her hand.
" Goodnight Kendor, look forward to seeing you tomorrow, sleep well"
Opening the door she smiled at him.
" Please take care and enjoy your goodies."
Watching him leave she felt awkward but was tired.
Tomorrow was another day.

He walked home thinking about her.
He stopped and looked out oner the city.
He got home and finished his chores and finally tired enough to sleep.
Rising early he took care of the animals. He boiled water to take a bath.
Washing up in the tub he felt better.
He got out dried off and shaved.

Emerald didn't sleep well, she tossed and turned, that man was on her mind.

The twins woke her full of happiness about the picnic and meeting Kendor again.
She sat in the tub enjoying the water, her body more relaxed
Soon she was dressed, the hamper packed ready , the children had their horses ready and were excited.
They stood waiting for Kendor to arrive.

Kendor walked as quick as he could to Em's
He saw them all ready to go.
He looked at his horse and worried about it.
He put his foot in the stirrup and mounted awkwardly.
He sat nevously on the horse

The children stood watching Kendor get on the horse, they mounted theirs.
Emerald saw the look on his face mounting her own horse she leaned across and touched his hand.
" Loosen your grip Kendor or if you want we can go in the carriage."
She looked into his eyes and smiled at him.
" Your choice Kendor"

[Kendor]

He felt a thrill at her touch.
"No Em. I have to learn at some time will you ride beside me?"
He loosened his grip and tried to relax.
Ok I'm ready.

Emerald smiled at him
" Yes Kendor I will stay right by your side."
She touched his hand and told both horses to go steadily, never before had she had to do this.
Even the twins took to riding at a young age, they adored it now.
Emerald looked at him and smiled
" Feeling better now?"
Her horse hated trotting slow but knew he had too, Emerald watched the twins riding in front of them.

He was getting a little better as they rode.
He glanced at her and smiled happily.
"I'm ready to try a little faster."
He grinned

Emerald looked at him smiled and told the horses faster my beauties.
The horses picked up speed, not much faster but a better pace, the children looked back and grinned.

" Soon be there Kendor, not much longer." she said touching his hand again.
Her horse seemed to sense there was something wrong and kept nuzzling the one next to him.
Emerald smiled , he had done well for his first horse ride, unless he was pretending she thought.

He loved her touch, she made him feel better.
He had never been on a horse before, he almost wished they took the carriage.
But then she wouldn't be touching him.
"I hope we get there soon, Em."
He smiled at her with a worried look.
His legs were getting soar.
