To the north-east of Widu lies Skau island. A battered piece of land, jutting high out of the sea as if taunting the waves to reclaim it. It was a rugged, harsh place, unsuited to those used to easier living. With a hilly terrain and bitterly cold winters, Skau island's saving grace are the surprising wonderful summers and its surrounding waters teeming with fishes.

Donan Castle stands looming over all of Skau island, commanding the whole island. Its stone walls have stood for time immemorial, repelling numerous invaders. Legends hold the dwarves designed Donan castle while giants built it. Even more myths of faeries' protection runes and elvish wards are told, though unlikely considering that the castle has fallen a few times.

The great halls of Donan castle are home to generations of the Skausson clan. Once numerous, the clan has dwindled over the ages leaving a few. The great halls that used to be filled with noise and merry making now stand empty. Its silence broken only by the few servants that maintain the place.



Karael stands before his family's castle, unsure if it was the right place. He stands there waiting.

[Vesna]

Vesna followed the instructions outlined on the piece of parchment. She arrived at the windswept headland and gauzed at the building in front of her.

The letter from her father said this used to be the home of the Skausson clan and she absorbed the magnificent splendour of the building and the island.

She noticed a figure in the distance seemingly staring at the castle. As she ventured closer she recognised the man as her brother Karael. She walked towards him and embraced him, noticing he had an identical piece of parchment in his hand.

Vesna looked at him and said this is it brother, this is our new home

As Vesna embraced him, Karael grins. "You make me feel like a little kid again, sis." Seeing the look of surprise in her face, he chuckles., wrapping Vesna in a bear hug. "Always great to see you. Shall we see what the new home is like?" Together the siblings walks towards their new home.
