Today was the day. Today they broke ground on their estate finally. It was a long time coming, but in the end, well worth the wait. Aingeal had conversed with the mayor and was able to get the lane to their property named, and then her and Anessen bought their plots. Now it was time to save up the resources and begin the foundations. It had been decided that they would have a nice main house, with a separate house for their stewards.
Aingeal and Amara road out to the lands, to see what was there, and to make plans. Rania followed behind, and they made short work of the journey to the outskirts of Imperius. "Mama looks!" Amara said, pointing to a small pond that they passed. "Swim!" she clapped her hands excitedly. Aingeal could only chuckle. "Not today poppet," she said, ruffling the deep red curls on her daughters head.
Amara was growing leaps and bounds, no doubt attributed to her hybrid genes. She had the mind and body of a human five year old, but she was only about three. Aingeal gave up giving her a number of age, as it was beyond her knowledge. Aingeal herself didn't age properly any longer since the potion that she drank that was created out of Jacob's book. She smiled at Amara. She had deep red curls hanging down her back so like her mother's own hair. Her skin had a dusky hue to it, and her eyes were a crystal blue, unlike her mother's green ones.
The horses has barely stopped before Amara was clamoring to get down. Aingeal slipped from the horse's back, pulling her daughter down and setting her to her feet. Amara took off running, Rania trailing quickly behind her. Rania was growing up too, the girl had been with her for years. Loyal and wonderful, Aingeal didn't know what she would do without the girl. Aingeal surveyed the land, a good portion was already cleared. They would house cows, chickens, a garden, and a barn. While Amara ran off to check out the property, Aingeal pulled out a blanket and stretched out in the sun, thinking about what would go where.
