A frustrated growl tore through the silence of nature, the animals, even the trees it seemed stilling at the harsh sound against the tranquil sounds of nature naturally occurring. Her nose curled up as she looked at the blood staining her calfskin trousers. Her skin was slowly getting less sensitive to the sun, but she was nowhere near the point of being able to be out in it without coverage. When she planned to be highly physical she would don the thick animal skin pants to ensure the sun couldn't come through. She hated having to wear the layers, though she was no longer hot in the sun she did sincerely wish to feel the warm rays upon her skin once more. Some days it seemed the burn might be worth it, but then she remembered the pain when it touched the slightest sliver of her own skin. The thick woolen stockings she wore didn't bother her with the heat but they itched like the dickens against her sensitive skin, she looked down at the ties and rolled her eyes, they, too were blood spattered. She'd never get the ankle ties clean, and replacing them meant weaving a new set. Her shirt was easy enough to clean, the blue shift was long and secured, again, at the writs with now bloody ties, and high up her neck, the broad hat covering her hair, and thin gloves completing the outfit that covered her skin, protecting her from the damaging rays. The doe at her feet bled onto the rocks beneath it, but it did not stir her appetite. She forced herself to take her fill, refusing to draw from her loved ones more than she had to. When she completed her "meal", she put her shoes back on and hefted the animal onto the hand cart thankful she was a bit stronger than most would expect from her frame. She carted the animal back to town, while her meal was unsatisfactory Jandar and Zipporah might enjoy the treat of fresh venison.
