Nikola answered the door rather quickly and let her in. Ella stepped inside while allowing her eyes to wander around the room. There was no food in sight. Dinner mustn't have been served yet. Odd, she must have thought it was much later than it was. Time was a bit of a blur to her even on the best of days. And today was definitely not a good day. There was a slight chill as Ella entered the room, owing to the window having been opened up. These rooms could get awful stuffy, but Ella was perpetually cold. The witch drifted over towards the fireplace which still had a small blaze going. She turned back towards Nikki who had followed her further into the room.
Ella let out a soft sigh as she allowed her body to fall into a chair by the fire. She looked towards her friend as she tried to explain the interaction between her and her soon-to-be ex-husband. "It went...well? I mean..yeah. Tyris agreed that we've been trying to force something that just...isn't working. Actually, he suggested ending things before I even had a chance to speak." She gave a slight shrug of her shoulders before continuing, "We agreed to go to the King together next week to request an end to our marriage."
It was over. Really over. Well, not technically. The King still needed to approve the dissolution. But in Ella's eyes, it was over. And in her chest, she felt as if the pressure had been lifted. She no longer felt like she was being pulled under a dark current in a dangerous sea, instead, she could finally see land. Maybe there she would find her feet again.
