(ORP) Soaring High on Wings of Fate

Caelia continues to stare when she is told that Ari can turn into any animal. She tries to think of her favorite game, but can't think.

I don't have a favorite game Ari.

She holds Ari's hand praying that she can be trusted and she has not been captured. Her mind wanders worrying about her mother and thinking if she made the right decisions to go look for her father. Bites her lip, fill of worry and concern.

Grim looked at the couple items he has 'bought' at the market. Buying for Grim normaly involves the merchants throwing stuff at him and yelling a price. He glanced at the deflated money purse by his side and let out a small sigh. He looked over his items again and wonders what he needs with a rug when he spotted the beautiful face of Ari acompanied by a young girl, No more than 10 years. Grim let out a smile for them both and waved
Good day Madam's. Would either of you be intrested in a rug...Or this inscrived necklace?

Ari's face fell a little. No favourtire game? Well, we may just have to change that! She smiled with a wink and they walked in silence. Her jade eyes darted from face to face amongst the crowd, keeping an eye out for her boyfriend. When her eyes finally fell on his face, she grinned, leading Caelia towards him.

She laughed at his question and gave him both a hug and a kiss on the cheek. Why no thank you, kind sir. Her grin faded into a small smile as she turned to Caelia. Caelia, this is Grim.. She turned back to Grim, worry on her face. Grim dear, this is Caelia Aurora Salvay.. She's eight. And she's looking for her father, alone, but she doesn't know a thing about him, besides he has wings, like you... I thought perhaps you could help.

Grim's eyes feel upon the little girl and frowned ever so slightly. He thought of all the people that he knew who might have a child. Then he would of any with wings and he immediatly lost all leads. He looked at Ari then to Caelia
Are you sure he had wings? I dont really know anyone that has them

Caelia smiles at the man as she is introduced. She answers his question.

Yes, mommy said he was an angel like her. Her name is Raylene Salvay.

She looks up at the man while she holds Ari's hand

Grim looked at the little girl thoughtfully and began to think "Well I am the only Angel around these parts"

Ari was busy looking at the young child. She felt so terribly sorry for her.. She had been thrown in the worst situation. Motherless, on her own in the world, searching for a father...

With shock, Ari realized she had done that. Sure, her mother was still alive.. But Ari had left plenty of times on wild searches for her mysterious father - the one who was more like a fairytale fiction than anything else. One that wouldn't be possible to find now.. Being dead.

She snapped out of her thoughts, hoping Caelia would get a better happy ending with her father than she did. She let go of her hand, giving a soft smile, and pulled Grim aside partly, but still keeping a mindful eye on the girl. Surely.. You must know someone.. Someone that can help? Perhaps? Does the name Raylene Salvay sound familiar at all? I can't just let this little girl continue.. With no hope.. Something, anything? She looked up at her boyfriend with hope.

Grim stopped dead when he heard the name Raylene again and remembered a long time ago back at his home a woman he had met once. A woman he fell in love with. A woman he accompanied to bed. Grim let a frown show and turns to Ari not too sure what to tell her. He took a breath and swallowed before speaking very softly and quietly "I...Think she may be...my child"

She watched as the name hit him.. As his expression changed. And when he turned to look at her, she frowned. But nothing could prepare her for what he said. Ari caught her breath and looked at him, entirely shocked. All she could do was stare for silent few seconds before she gathered herself. Feverishly, she looked over at Caelia before looking back at Grim.

You.. Have a.. A daughter..? She asked in a hushed, shocked voice. Slowly, her gaze drifted back to Caelia. A daughter.. A child. She was too surprised to manage anything else to say. Words escaped her entirely. So she looked back up at Grim.

The July sun caused the day to heat up like a bakers oven, or so Jacob thought, it was early afternoon and he had just finished swimming in the river nearby. He was only eleven, had just met his sister Ari, and at the moment decided he wanted a bit of her company. Jacob was bored and figured she'd have a good idea of what to do to, he pressed into the crowds of the market place looking for her hoping he might find her. People jostled around him, sounds of men calling people to their stalls to look at their wares, some good, some in horrible condition, and all vying for attention of the next customer who may or may not be interested. Over the heads of people he saw Grim, Jacob knew that where Grim was, Ari would not be far behind. He forced himself through the crowed, he approached from behind them, he smiled as he got a little mischievous idea in his head.

Jacob was half kitsnu and half vampire, he rather enjoyed playing with fire quite a bit, he cleared his mind and made his focus on Grim. He let out a small flame of fire from is finger, which he caused to extend and speed way from him towards Grim and his backside as well. He used his power of illusion to hide himself, to appear invisible to Ari and Grim, and those around him. Except for the little girl which he failed to notice as he quietly slipped beside his sister Ari, laughing inside at his trick.
