Amatsu appeared at the manor entrance in a puff of smoke. Looking up at the building, Amatsu sniffed once, then knocked on the door. "Your ritual is ready," she said quietly, using magic to project her voice throughout the house. Morghain had completed the favor she had requested as payment, and now Amatsu was ready to give the woman the wings she had requested.

It had been some time since her conversation with Lucifer and Morghain had been busily researching around looking for a means to attain her wings. A conversation with Amatsu had resulted in a favor being done and the promise of aid. As she was busily cleaning her latest skull acquisition, she heard the familiar tones of Amatsus voice drifting softly through the house. Laying the skull down, she briskly makes her way to the front entry. Opening the door, she nods politely to the Kitsune and greets her " Greetings, Foxy, welcome to our Home. Enter and be welcome."

Stepping back and to the side, she opens the way for Amatsu to enter.

Lucifer was rummaging around his collection of bright clothes and shinnies when he heard the voice of Amatsu ring throughout everywhere. His head bobs up into the air facing the direction of the front door, much like a Meercat. He tosses whats in his hands over his head as he scampers across the room toward the door. He heads through the endless maze of cold cobblestone halls until he almost runs right into his most beloved mate "Hello!"

Hearing the rush of movement belting down the hall ways behind her, she tilts her head thoughtfully. As she recognises that it is Luc approaching, a small cheeky smile creeps across her face. Just as he is about to crash violently into her, she playfully leaps at him in an attempt to drag him to the ground and entice him into a wolfish playfight.

She gave the traditional shallow bow of one formally entering someone else's home, and stepped inside. "Hello, Morg. Lucifer, I trust you have been collecting the results of recent molts? Good. Then let us go to the room you desire the transformation to take place." As she followed the woman, Amatsu began to explain once more the effects of the changes that would take place. "Remember that this will be painful. Your ribcage and torso will become wider and your shoulders broader, but after some tweaking, it is not so drastic as I initially predicted. You may shrink a bit though," she noted, as many human females were conscious about their height. But when one can fly above all others, what does being short matter? "Some of your organs may shift. Muscle mass in your torso will increase and your lungs and heart become larger. On the plus side, you will have greater stamina. Oh, and your eyesight will be better."

On entering the 'Transformation Room' Amatsu began to set up the magic, drawing a series of runes and symbols within a complex array. She placed a mass of fleshy material similar to what formed her shikigami in the center of the circle, and pulled out a pearly gem. "This is the phylactery of an ancient Aeroyn sorcerer who's memories will mold Morg's body. You will also learn to master flight more swiftly than you would on your own. Born without wings, you would normally take twice as long as a normal fledgeling. That," she said, pointing to the fleshy block, "will provide you with the extra mass your body will require. Now please step into the circle with the gem in both hands, Morg. Actually, I suggest you kneel in the center. Less distance for you to go if you fall. Lucifer, you will toss in your feathers. They will provide the Aeroyn essence required."

When all was completed, Amatsu walked a final circle around Morg, trailing magic behind her to seal the ward. With that, she began to chant in the ancient dialect of the Aeroyn. It was an adaptation of the ritual originally used by the race to cause their transformation. The runes began to glow, the light growing with the intensity of the chant. The flesh could be seen shifting and wriggling as it began to merge with Morg, until both disappeared in the cocoon of swirling light.

Remembering mid pounce that they have a guest, she pulls herself up short. Returning her attention to Amatsu, she listens carefully as she explains the procedure and what it would entail. On a logical level, she had known that what she was getting into would be very drastic and painful but as the explaination goes on she has to take a deep breath to recentre herself and shore up her will.

As the explaination continues on, she guides the Kitsune through the house towards one of the back rooms. Coming to one of the larger unused rooms, she steps in and indicates that this would be the room they use. The nature of the room ensured that any sounds she made would not echo through the rest of the house and upset the children. She doesn't understand much of what Amatsu tells her nor does any of the symbols that are drawn on the floor make any sense to her, however, it sounds as though Amatsu had done her best to ensure that the change made to her would go as smoothly and successfully as possible.

At the appropriate point, she steps forward to enter the circle. Before she gets there, she stops to nuzzle Lucifer, condencing every ounce of her love for him in the action. Having done that, she steps into the circle and kneels onto the floor. She watches as Amatsu walks around her, as she feels the touch of magic in the air, she fixes her gaze onto Luc until he is all she can see of the world outside the circle of magic. Just before the circle closes, she dips her head downwards, staring at the pearly gem in her hands and begins to meditate in an effort to strengthen her inner resolve and relax herself.

While she is focused on the gem, it begins to shine and slowly elevates itself to hang suspended above her head. Nearby the pile of flesh wriggles and shivers before making its way towards her. It takes on an almost liquid form as it nears her that begins to travel over her body to cover it like wet blood. Once the last patch of her skin is covered, the liquid sinks into her skin and the hovering gem drops to half submerge itself into the flesh behind her left ear, flat against the skin like some of the decorative piercings that some creatures are wont to give themselves.

Soon her skin begins to itch and a sense of discomfort goes through her body, something like the first rumblings before a storm breaks, she presumes that this is how the magic is somehow preparing her body for the transformation. She finds the process so far to not be as bad as she feared, lulled into a false sense of security, she is shocked when her body is overwhelmed by a wave of excruciating agony.

Her nerves scream as her bones stretch and break only to immediately mend themselves in their new form. Muscle, skin and all the parts that make up her body rearrange themselves according to the specifications set into the ritual. Her organs shift within her newly elongated torso to settle in more satisfactory positions. Not that she knows this is all happening, all she knows is pain. Excruciating and near unbearable pain that has her screaming both physically and mentally. Her body contorts all over the floor uncontrollably as she claws at the ground in a futile effort to escape.

For a moment the pain stops, the rearrangement of her present structure complete. She lays panting and whimpering on the floor, her body in a state of intense discomfort that is broken only by a itching sensation between her shoulder blades. That itch is soon replaced by the sensation of something brutally sharp stabbing through her skin from the inside. Blood drips down her skin as the skeleton of a pair of wings explode violently from her back, seeming to be forming as they force their way from beneath her skin. Her tolerance for pain completely overwhelmed from the first part of her transformation, Morghain passes out and is engulfed by the bitter sweet peace of oblivion while the ritual continues its work.

When the skeletal structure is fully formed, were there anyone watching, they would see the formation of the things normally hidden from sight by skin and feather. The muscles, ligaments and tendons that allow flight and hold the wings together. The wings themselves begin to twitch as her mind acclimatizes itself to the new information it is receiving. As they become covered by skin, the feathers that Luc had been throwing into the circle for the duration of the ritual disappear and the first of her feathers, the same pale blond color of her hair, appear near the base of her wings. This is soon followed in sequence by the secondary then primary feathers until they are fully feathered.

Once the ritual is complete, the show of lights disappear from around her and she lies like a broken doll in the middle, her wings spread around her, tinged pink by the blood that coats her skin and the floor around her. Her mind remains adrift in unconsciousness, not yet ready to return to the world of pain and agony.

Amatsu leaned against the wall as the ritual continued, ears twitching as she listened to Morg's body break and reform. The ritual was even more violent than she had anticipated, but it had been Morg's wish. She was surprised that the woman cried out little, though her lips curved in a slight smile of admiration. Morghain was a strong individual, and the kitsune approved. As the light faded, Amatsu studied the woman's new form. She let the barrier drop, absorbing any residual magic in the air with a self-satisfied smirk. "Well now, the ritual is complete. Such a pretty birdy."

Lucifer adverts his eyes from the circle, feeling a wave of immense guilt as he starts to hear the cracking and popping of bones, followed by the near endless mental scream, occasionally joined by the psychical ones. His face twisted up in a look of concentration trying not to react. Normally he would relish such torture in a person but this feels different, like none other, just plain unpleasant to see his Mate in this much pain. He hopes she had made the right choice and did it for herself, not just him. As the light dims from the circle and the noises fade Lucifer turns his head to lay his eyes upon his beloved. The first thing he sees is something that horrifies him - she is coated in gore....HER gore! Never in his life has he had seen something he loved so much instantly looking bad as it now coated Morghain. He was about to let Amatsu meet his blade until he noticed the large body of feathers, as red as they may be, protruding from her back. He felt his worries stall for a few moments as a smile appeared on his lips. He took a few unsteady steps towards the collapsed bundle and reached out a hand to gently touch a feather. Watching a pained expression roll across her face Lucifer gently slipped his arms underneath her and gently picked her up. He carried her ever so carefully, as one does with an infant, over to a couch and layed her gently down, face down. "Pretty birdy indeed..."

The hours had passed and finally she had returned to consciousness with a groan. Everything had HURT. Well most things...possibly the tip of her ears didn't hurt...and her nose, that didn't hurt either. But everything else sure did, she'd felt a hang of a lot better after giving birth to the children. She'd come to consciousness aware that she was no longer on the floor where she had passed out. She'd gone as still as possible and half opened her eyes to determine where she was and found that someone had moved her to a couch. Her skin felt sticky where it didn't hurt. Waking she'd managed to groan out Lucs name. He'd been most attentive and helped her to her feet.

Getting there had been fine, being there, she'd found she was weaker than a day old pup. Luc had carried her to the bathing room and got her all cleaned up. Now a few weeks later, she was fully healed and finally able to start working out how to use her new body. The first thing she'd found was that her balance was completely shot. She couldn't even walk down the hall way without crashing into things and she was pretty sure her family found her difficulties highly amusing. Thankfully, Luc had managed to keep his amusement mostly to himself...even if the children laughed at her every time they saw her being just like them.

"Love! this is ridiculous! my whole body is so confused. Its trying to do things the old way and its just not working. Help!"

After wrigting back and forth with Morghain for a while, Sicilia decided to stop by for a visit. She intended to ask if Morghain about places to move since her house was destroyed. Her loose silk shirt swayed in the autumn breeze as she lightly taps on the door.
