(ORP) Morghain and Lucifer's new Manor

[Lucifer]

Lucifer was very happy with what a few fast nights and a handful of people could do to a ruined Manor. All of it was nicely redone - the windows were suitably stained to keep out light during the day but also allow sight. He also liked the amount of balconies, murder holes and windows for bows there were placed around the outside. Inside was oddly more like a proper house then Lucifer could imagine, it was not made for defence in the actually living area...it was made for living. to put his mind at ease though the previous owners had decided to make the further down you went the harder it would be to attack and get in.

After they'd finished renovating the Manor, Morghain had slipped off for a moment alone. As she sat at the cliff face at the rear of the Manor, she could look out over the surrounding Valley and see clear across to the horizon. All around her, the stars shine brightly and the moon peaks out from behind wispy clouds. A light and chilly wind blows playfully.
Leaning up against the stone wall of the Manor, she sighs in contentment, happy for a moment to escape the clamor of her large household. She's especially grateful for it after the stresses of the renovations. It would be interesting to see the differences the arrival of the litter would make to the dynamics of their home.
For now, she was just grateful that Lucifer had found her a suitable place to give birth to and raise their children.

Thinking back over the last few nights, she was satisfied with how things had progressed with the Manor. The thralls had even set up her fields and workshop for her. Tomorrow she planned to begin working on the inside of the house, putting in those little touches that would make the house their Home. Tomorrow would come soon enough. She was happy to just sit peacefully in her solitude and enjoy the vista before her.

Some time had passed, and they'd settled into their new manor nicely. She'd made the building right on the edge of the cliff her haven. Unfortunately, somewhere in the process of renovating and making herself at home in there, she'd forgotten to tell Lucifer what it meant to her. One day after things had settled somewhat, she'd gone there to think while Lucifer was busy butchering.

She'd started thinking about her upcoming children, which turned her thoughts to her own childhood. Things had gone downhill from there and she'd become deeply engrossed in her thoughts, almost to the point of being in a trance like state. After a number of days, the Pack had become sick of her bout of self pity and had nipped and harried her back to reality and out of the room.

Now, after a period of time had passed and she'd apologised to Luc for her unexpected absence and the state of panic she'd put him in, things had settled into a certain comfortable routine. They'd prepared a room for her to give birth in as well as one for the litter when they were older. Not knowing how many children they were having, they hadn't had beds made for the children yet, but they had a carpenter on standby to make them when the children arrived.

On this particular day, they'd woken up, eaten and loved together at dusk as they were wont to do then gone about their individual tasks. For some reason though, Morghain kept finding herself repeatedly returning to the birthing room and rearranging things. Her thoughts were on the tasks that she intended on performing over the course of the day, but her feet seemed to have a will of their own and any time she was in the general vicinity of this end of the house, she invariably ended up here.

After a while, she started to notice that she had gone from her usual two guards, to almost a full compliment of a wolfish entourage. She started to suspect that they were sensing something she wasn't and she could guess what it was. Her guess proved correct when a few hours later, a dull ache began in her back. If things progressed as she expected them to, it was too early yet to alert Luc but she fully intended on letting him know when things started getting really exciting.

Lucifer had become stressed unbelievable once Morghain disappeared. He had come close to destroying everywhere to find her, not thinking she would be hiding in their home. When she had come out of hiding he was far too relieved to be mad at her. He had done everything in his power to make her feel loved while he mentally prepared what he wanted to do with their future litter.

On a certain day Luc felt a sort of unease. He felt the urge to check up on Morg every now and then, which he followed through and spied on her from hidden spots to make sure she was fine. As he worked away at butchering cows and checking his Thralls were working the fields correctly he had the constant nag on his mind to check his mate.

[Morghain]

As the evening had progressed, she'd become more and more obviously uncomfortable. She'd got very little work done, instead spending most of her time pacing around the house, picking things up and putting them down again. Occasionally she would come to a complete stop and lean against the nearest surface with her eyes closed before continuing her pacing.

[Lucifer]

Luc felt the odd urge for today raise and raise to a unbearable level. He walked around the house finding things oddly neat. Eventually he found Morg in the dinning room leaning over clutching the table. "Um...Beloved Mate, Are you alright? I've had the queer sense all day and you look a bit off..." he asked, almost afraid of what the answer may be.

[Morghain]

As the wave of discomfort passes, she turns her head to Lucifer as he asks her if she is alright.She gives him a slightly wobbly smile and says, "The children are coming. They're a while off yet though. Its a bit early to get too excited."

[Lucifer]

Luc broke out into a rather large smile "Oh? They decided they would come out today? Great! You got everything prepared for later on or do you wish me to do that?" he inquired. He became rather fiddly now that the birthing was actually certainly going to happen soon.

[Morghain]

Morghain grimaces slightly "They sure have. Umm I think everything is organized for now. Its just a matter of waiting for them to be properly ready to make an appearance now. You can go if you're busy, I'll be ok for a while yet. I'll call you when I need you."

[Lucifer]

Luc takes in this information and thinks for a few moments "Would you like to watch the fire or look out over onto our village? I don't have anything to do as important as seeing my Mate through this. Also, how would you feel about if some family came?".
