As usual, she takes great pleasure at how Lucifer seems to lose track of what he is thinking about as he catches sight of her. She really did love the way he reacted. It was only fair really considering how her body reacted to him. He perks her interest at his mention of special things, it must be something pretty special going by his body language as he comes towards her. As he holds out the ring and flowers and announces that he made them himself, her eyes light up and beams at him. The fact that he made them himself specifically for her meaning more to her than the items themselves. "Oh Love, they're beautiful. And how shall I display such wonderful pieces?"

Lucifer grinned at the greatest honor that is getting Morg's approval. When she asked where she should display them he pointed at her right right finger and a vase he had sneakily placed on the mantle above the fireplace, which was very dust from under use, in between the skulls. "I had done a bit of searching, Love, and I found some GREAT water, the man who sold it to me told me flowers can live and even grow in the water for years!" he said with the grin still on his face, he wasn't too sure how she would feel about something as symbolic and useless as a flower since she was very practical but hopes she liked it at least a little.

As he instructs her on where he wishes her to put his ring, she offers the appropriate hand up for him to place the ring. She is somewhat confused as to what she is expected to do with the flower and why it is so significant but it seems important to Lucifer who is important to her. In reality, she couldn't tell the difference between a plant and a weed. Knowing what Mint leaves and Iskir berries looked like was about her limit, aside from the usual fruits and veggies that were available at the market. She also knew what she definitely should NOT eat in the wild if she wished to survive the experience. " Its beautiful, Love. What type of flower is it? Is there something significant about this particular type of flower?"

Lucifer carefully grasped Morghain's hand and slid the ring on her finger. Perfect fit. His thoughts were confirmed when she began to inquire about the flowers he had given her. "They are roses, my love, black roses" he said softly with a smile "They are an important part on our Coat of Arms, remember?". He had trouble occasionally with gestures of love or indulgence things he expected Morg to know since she was the Countess proper. None of that ever got in the way of his love for her, if anything it strengthened what he felt, partially because she was so simple to understand and partially because she would have trouble without him. His mind and thoughts slowly went downhill from there and he decided that they had enough time to...get to know each other some more...before heading out towards their destination. He lets thoughts of such trickle down their link. "What do you think?"

At his explanation about the roses, she peers down at them with a puzzled look. Her imagination doesn't quite stretch far enough to equate what she is holding in her hand and the flowers that are displayed on their coat of arms. But, he knows best about these kinds of things, so she'd take his word for it. After all, he knew far more about these matters than her. "Ohhhh...I see..."

Her contemplation is soon distracted as she catches the tail end of his trail of thought. Her eyes widen and a grin spreads across her face. "What a clever birdy you are, My Love. Thats an excellent idea! And how do you propose to achieve that?"

Lucifer pointed to the fur sprawled on the floor "I believe that would be ample to achieve what we wish" he said with a slight grin and a raised eyebrow.

Quite a few hours later, and most likely after quite a few ideas

Lucifer lay beside his wife with an achieved grin on his face. He lent slightly so he could place a kiss upon Morghain's cheek. As he rolled back onto his back he couldn't help but admire their coat of arms hanging on the wall over their bed. He was so proud of it, it was everything he had done in his life up until this point for all the world to see. He had yet to see his Standard making its first appearance on the battlefield. One day all would know his name, and all would respect him. He had spent his entire life building up to it. He couldn't help the smile on his face while staring at the flag.

He turned his eyes once more to something much more precious than any piece of cloth. His mate. Feeling the time is right he asked her the most important question since to be his Mate. "Dearest Lover, would you like to join me?" he whispered quietly, knowing she will know what he is speaking about.

As he pulled away from kissing her, she allowed herself to stretch and sigh in satisfaction. They'd found that any time they worked together as a team to achieve something, they were magic. This was especially so when it was something they were both passionate about. They made a very, very good pair. Just as she settles in comfortably next to him, he turns to her and speaks in a quiet, almost serious seeming tone. "Dearest Lover, would you like to join me?"

She shouldn't have been surprised, he'd been asking her the same question in one way or another for a long time now but she'd always had some reason to demure. She understood why it was so important to him. He'd chosen her to be his Mate, to spend the rest of eternity with him as his one and only. Every time she said no, she wondered if he considered it a rejection of his love for her or if she doubted her own feelings for him? Why else would she say no to taking that final step to becoming truly his. Not only that, but he worried that while she remained human, she was in more danger of being killed. It seemed he feared spending the rest of his eternity without her...she couldn't blame him, if she'd realized that his passing would not kill her as she believed, she would have dreaded living without him. Life would seem so much less without him by her side.

When all was said and done, the reason she kept saying no had nothing to do with doubts or rejections. She could think of no better way to spend the rest of her life than with him. However, she was mortal and there were some things in life that every species had an inbuilt genetic imperative to achieve before they stepped off the mortal coil. The furtherance of the bloodline was one of them. That had been the first reason she'd said no.

Secondly, when the children had come along, she had realized that she had no wish to be the only earth bound one of their family. She'd demanded the opportunity to be reconstructed so that she had the ability to fly before she would consent to what he asked of her.

As they lay entwined together, she couldn't help but feel gratitude for how patient he'd been with her. He had acceded to all her demands and given her all the time and chances she'd needed. There was now no other reason for her to retain her pulse. She couldn't even use a fair of death as a justification for saying no. Lucifer knew her far too well to believe that and would only take it as a rejection, no doubt causing a rift in their relationship. No, she was ready for this next part in their journey.

She was a little concerned on how it would effect her...aside from the lack of pulse and insatiable desire for blood...Every other that she'd seen turned had reacted differently. There were times where she was barely civilized as it was. How would the vampiric instincts, combined with her lupine beliefs and the instincts she'd acquired when she'd been reconstructed, behave in her new undead life. There was no way of knowing other than just doing it and dealing with the consequences as they arose.

No doubt her facial expressions depicted the mental struggle that went on in her head. But finally it settled to an expression of calm composure as she looked him in the eye and gave him a single nod.

Lucifer felt his heart serge to new heights at the simple nod she gave him. Now they will be able to spend eternity together and learn every mystery they care to learn! Hunts, too, they can hunt one of every creature on this world that is and will be! So many possibilities! He gave his beloved mate a ecstatic smile as he began to move in towards her neck.

He knew there were reasons behind her wanting to stay human, he didn't think there was any vampire who was ENTIRELY sure they wanted to be one, but he was certain this was the best move for her. Their bond would be so much more intimate and their lives would most likely depend on one another now. He hopes that she will like how much easier it is to be free and feral for the start. Losing it is just so...perfect, sometimes it is a struggle to come back to civilized. He trusted his Mate enough to know her own abilities and if she thought she could handle it then she can handle it.

He sent love trickling down their link as he gently brushed his fangs along Morghain's neck, slowly applying pressure until his teeth broke the skin. He felt his eyes lose focus as blood touched his tongue. He slid his arms around Morghain's back as he began to feed deeply. He saw her life begin to flash before his eyes as he took on her memories and pressed on, feeding more and more, seeing further and further back. He slowly began to draw to the line where it gets dangerous but yet Lucifer continues on, never having felt the sensation of turning one so close before. He felt his eyes roll up into his head as he gulped down the last remaining blood Morghain held.

Lucifer lowered her corpse slowly and knew he had to act fast. He bit into his own wrist and yanked, damaging it enough to let the blood flow. He placed said wrist onto Morghain's lips and let the blood begin to drip into her mouth, hopefully down her throat as she can absorb and make the turning complete. He knew the longer dead the larger the chances of proper death, and he would not let that happen to his mate. He whispered a little prayer as he held his wrist against her, hoping he did not mess up.

She lay still in his arms as he smiled down at her, an act of total trust and surrender, even with the knowledge that the next few moments would result in her death. She kept her eyes focused on him as he dipped his face towards her neck. An action that had become so familiar to her. She let her eyes drift close as his lips touched his favorite feeding spot, then came the slow pressure and the brief pang of pain as his fangs pierced her skin before the rush of pleasure that came with his feeding. Even after this long, she had not grown sick of the sensations that came with her Mate feeding from her.

After a while, she began to feel her grasp on consciousness start to slip and darkness began to creep into the edges of her vision, even though Lucifer had taken her this close before, somehow her body knew that this time was different. That part within her that had on many occasions saved her from certain demise, rises up to force her to fight for her life. Even though she had chosen this and logic knew what was going on, the more primal part of her would not allow her to go quietly into the darkness and she begins to struggle in Lucifers arms. She can feel her heart within her fight harder and harder to pump what blood there is left, struggling in a fight it could never win.

As she continues her slow decent into death she reaches up with her arms to claw at Lucifers back and head, trying to force him away from her. Her legs kick out wildly with no thought of technique or skill. Only the wild struggling that every creature that is close to death exhibits.

Long before he has drained her dry, her heart gives its final resounding beat and her last breath slips from her lips as this time, she loses her fight against mortality. For this brief moment, she is truly nothing more than a pile of meat and bone.

Were she able to know what was going on, she would have felt it as his blood trickled down her throat and began its work of replacing that which she had lost. Inexplicably, it begins to smooth out what physical faults she had possessed, taking what was already there and perfecting it to make her the most perfect specimen of a predator she could be. Her canines elongate slightly into fangs, her facial structure adjusting to accommodate and to allow for the sheaths that would house them when she could learn control. All this happened long before life...or perhaps more correctly...undeath had taken hold of her.

With its job of turning her complete, Lucifers blood finally allows her to return to "life", awakening her violently with an all consuming hunger. All she can taste and smell is the blood being forced down her throat. Grabbing hold of the offered limb, she grips it tightly to her mouth and messily bites into his arm so that she can take in more. For a moment she takes long draws of his blood until her body tells her that this is no longer what she requires. It contains no LIFE. Flinging the limb away from her, she scents around her, eyes wild and hungry as she searches for a more satisfactory source.

Lucifer winced as he felt fangs sink down into his wrist before feeling his eyes unfocus as the pleasure hit him. Before long he had felt her pull away in a mad struggle and he realized that his blood would not feed her. He bellowed for a Thrall to come to the room, immediately. He made sure to back away from his mate so that he does not become a target of her nor make her think he is after her meal.

Rather quickly, but what felt like a long time for Lucifer, a Thrall entered the room, taking calm, big, even steps, eyes totally devoid of life and emotion. The man walked over to Morghain as he could tell it was her who wanted to feeding. Luc knew Morghain was likely to kill the Thrall in her first feeding, after all, it was just like feeding after giving birth. He watched Morghain carefully, wondering if she will be hopeless due to her new speed and strength.
