Elizabeth blushed suitably at his laughter and shaking her head to herself got up and walked into the kitchen to check on the bread. Opening the oven she reached for a cloth and took the tray out. Placing the tray onto the stove top she lifted the loaf from it and turning it over tapped the underside, smiling as she heard the hollow sound. Placing it back she shut the oven door and covered the loaf with her cloth to keep it moist and soft.

Bread is cooked, Elizabeth told Zechin as she returned to the main room. If you still want to go to market I need the horse and cart readying. Going to her daughter Elizabeth bent and picked her and the blanket up.

Zechin looks at Anabel for some moments before he nods. "Of course me lady." With that he prepares the cart and readies to bring them to the market. Zechin waits for her to get on the cart he wishes to hear the story of her life in the village before Fenia how she came to be what she came to be. What was of her family background and etc.

While Zechin went off to ready the horse and cart Elizabeth quickly got Annabel dressed warmly and then wrapped her in the blanket, picking up her purse and slipping it into her skirt pocket. Ready she looked round, the fire was safely banked for while she was out, and walked to the front door, taking the key from the hook as she did.

Outside Elizabeth locked the door and smiling went to the cart where Zechin was waiting. One arm cradling the baby, Elizabeth reached with her free hand to get herself up and onto the cart, and settling onto the seat beside Zechin she wondered how many minutes it would take to get to the town market from here, Dove House being outside the town walls and a little more isolated.

Will it take us long to reach the market? Elizabeth asked Zechin.

Zechin stepped off the seat and helped held out his hands to help the lady and her daughter into the cart.

"No it shall not take long. The roads that lead to the market is well made and I highly doubt there should be any seeking to cause trouble"

Elizabeth nodded to Zechin, waiting for him to start the horse moving. She looked down at her daughter and smiled as she saw Annabel nuzzling her face into the blanket, eyes shut, already settling down to sleep. Elizabeth wished life was always so simple as it was for now for her daughter.

I'm sure the trip will be a pleasure, Elizabeth said smiling at her companion. Good company always makes any journey much shorter, and any task pleasanter. We are ready to go Zechin, she ended, waiting for him to start the horse.

It had been two weeks since first arriving in Fenia City from her previous home and life. In that time Elizabeth had settled in happily into Dove House with her baby daughter Annabel and had decided that with the size of her new home she would never use the full space. There were several reception rooms that the doors would stay closed, as with many of the bedrooms. Annabel had the small room next to her own and Elizabeth had explored the grounds outside. At the front of the house was a large courtyard from which the stables were accessed to the side of the hosue, while around the house and the other outbuildings the gardens brought colour to the otherwise white Dove House. To the back also the gardens extended into the forest that surrounded the property.

Elizabeth liked the placement of Dove House. Secluded despite the easy access to town. She smiled thinking of her first visitor to Dove House and their visit to town. She had found the town pretty and bustling, the market lively. Since then Elizabeth had seen no one else and was happy enough with that, enjoying the chance to spend quiet time with her daughter, to settle in and find her feet and to get her bearings in her new home.
