I thought you were gonna be out for another day. I'm so happy you are ok. Now we can go out and play. :D

"Play? No, not until I've had some food. I'm famished!!! And, by the way, what's for breakfast? And how soon?"

She's a bit pale and shaky, and seems to have lost her energy. Her wings fluff apart a bit, as she staggers to find somewhere in the enormous cavern that is more suited to a mere human form. She sees a chair at the table, and gathers her energy to walk there and to sit.

Her body collapses into the chair and she lowers her head to rest on her folded hands on the table.

Her attention is captured by the smell of food cooking. Maybe a cook watching the food cooking wouldn't notice if she grabbed a piece of bread from the bread basket.

She raises her head to look around to see if there's a bread, biscuit, scone, or pastry nearby. An entire plate of fried eggs, left unattended, somehow disappear in short order, as well as a couple of rashers of cooked meat, along with a whole loaf of bread.

Wiping her mouth with her sleeve after fruitlessly looking for a napkin, she finds some juice and some coffee, and drinks some.

She walks over to Bal, lightly hits his side, then runs toward what she thinks might be daylight, flapping her wings and gaining altitude. "Tag! You're IT!!" Laughter is heard as she disappears from view.

As she reaches the mouth of the cave, she's airborne, and flies as quickly as she can straight away from the cave, laughing.

Balerion gives her a 2 minute head start then quickly follows after. She would need all the luck she could get if she hoped to avoid him. Once a dragon kidnapps someone they stay that way. Besides she ate all his food!

Arkie has found the most perfect of hiding places. Just at the mouth of th cave, above the entrance, there's a ledge. She sits on the ledge, waiting for Bal to exit. When he does, she'll fly above him like he flew above her.

Knowing that Aurora might have been silly enough to try and find a secret place inside the cave itself Balerion blows a stream of fire before him as he makes swiftly for the exit.

She hears the scritch of his claws as he comes toward the entrance. With a sick feeling of precognizance, she backs up away from the edge, as far back into the mountain as she can.

At that moment, a flame and gust of heated air billow out from the cave entrance missing her clothes by the barest margin.

She readies herself, changing her plan of "attack." This is going to be something Bal won't expect!

Bursting from the cave Balerion quickly gains altitude. LET THE GAMES BEGIN!

There's something to be said for the length of the dragon's body. As his head emerges from the cave, first the snout, then the head, then the neck, Arkie is caught hugging the side of the mountain. But as his body comes through the cave opening, she realizes that this is it.

She pushes away from the mountain and bounds, jumping into the air, and flies just above his wing joints, to appear to a casual observer as only a light and winged shadow just above his own wings.

As long as she doesn't laugh (which is hard to not laugh, as the feel of the air through her hair and wings is so wonderful), maybe this ruse will last a while.

Balerion could smell her but he wasn't sure from where. Perhaps a few air loops would answer the conundrum.
