Yes! Professor Kendor says it was not intentional. YAY!
Welcome, Please come in and take a seat, today I speak of 'Good intentions'. We often use this phrase upon being judged or before performing an action that may be high in risk. Good intention, is what foolish people use to justify the method in which they achieved their goals. A good intention can be the killing of a few in order to save the many, the destruction of a temple preaching rebellious sermons or enforcing laws such as curfew or the removal of a thieves hand. Those blindly following will agree while those that fear you will quietly plot your demise and those that watch...will keep watching. Good intentions is a simple excuse, an excuse to wage war. An excuse to commit murder without reason. Is it fair to remove a thieves hands ? If the thief steals, one must look deeper. Was he failed by society, was he made homeless and forced to such actions or perhaps he was paid or taking advantage of a situation. The temple that preached rebellious sermons, had they taken any actions or were they simply practising their freedom to speak, was it rebellious because the new lord didn't agree with this religion and was part of another ? Was killing a few soldiers truly able to save 'the many' ? After all, those soldiers could of saved many lives later on that day, were 'the many' worth saving or simply added to the costs verses gain of war ? There are many sides to these simple acts, a good intention of giving swift justice...the good intention of removing a potential threat and the good intention of saving lives...these are not 'good' in fact they are evil. We lie to ourselves, or lie to others with good intentions...so my friends...whatever you do...don't do it with good intentions...*chuckles* Farewell..don't forget to tip !
Friday's Mass (9/27) Duke sits upon the podium projecting mentally for the crowd. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0g9poWKKpbU https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rZu8Am23OS4 <The world is always darkest just before the dawn.> ---- A song for Sunday (29th) in final remembrance. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uEwde4bjysY --- Announcements: I. The temple expresses it's gratitude to AlswythCyan for her consistent contributions of Blessed Drink from which the holy power flows. II. The current dead, last week not yet withstanding, are: Ambar (July 9th), Ingref (July 14th), Tesla (July 31st), AlswythCyan (Aug 28th) If anyone would like to attend or provide services or statements for Ambar and Ingref in the coming fortnight, their quarter vigil is coming to a close. Gravestones will be provided by the temple; appreciation to Bridget - and gravedigger services shall be hired at a price of 28F ((let me know if that is too low for this city)) ---- III. The temple is seeking a new permanent/dedicated Priest and 1st Deacon to take over from Zuan and Duke_of_Earl sometime during the fortnight of September 29th - October 12th and thereafter. Interested parties should contact Zuan and Suu_Nee. Parties are not required to be affiliates of either Mucaz or Meridian. Mucaz is always willing to welcome new pilgrims however should parties be interested in delving further into the faith. Responsibilities are largely the same as ever regarding the offering of mass, the fulfilling of requests of the congregation, fixing broken windows, etc. The only new responsibilities of temples under Fenia; and really, I'm surprised this wasn't already done for the theocracy, are: -to have a temple guard. -to submit a weekly fiscal report to the mayor similar to those the mayors themselves file on behalf of their town halls. -to utilize the sacrifice when requested to liquidate assets on behalf of, at various times, the people, the temple, the town hall, and the VR. -to maintain a stockpile of emergency goods relative to healing, mood, and repairs including aloe, bandages, barrels of mint tea / klahua / alcohol, blessed cloths, egg drop soups, egg nog, holy resin, oatmeal cookies, pillows, and any other similarly themed items. ---- Thank you for your time and please have a very pleasant day.
