[CRP] Bundles of Joy? Just Get Them Out Already!

[Akos]

What a stupid idea. What an utterly, foolish, not thought through at all, stupid, stupid idea. Akos was used to pain sure, but this was something different. This was a grotesque feeling of rippling cramp and agony that she hated. Oh how she hated it. What a stupid, stupid idea.

But it had been her idea. Let's have another baby she'd said. I'll carry it this time she'd said. And so she and Aishe had gone to Shion and with her help they had knit together a new soul...no, two new souls. Because Shion thought it would be fun to see if she could weave two at once.

Akos groaned as another contraction hit her body and glared at her wife...mostly just because she could. It was after all Aishe's fault that she was in this position right? Oh wait, no...it had been her own idea. In too much pain to be able to roll eyes at herself, Akos merely grimaced and asked Aishe Remind me why I thought this was a good thing to do?!

[Aishe]

Aishe's hand gently stroked her wife's arm as a contraction came and eventually passed. She chewed her lip, her icy eyes darting from Akos to Serendipity, who was instructing the woman on a breathing technique. The stress of it all was weighing down on Aishe's shoulders. Seeing the woman she loved in so much pain was not an easy sight and in this new light, a small part of her was slightly grateful Akos didn't have to experience this spot when she was giving birth to Aileigh. Taking a deep breath to steady herself, she forced a smile to her lips and gave Akos' arm a light squeeze.

You are doing wonderful, love. She murmured into her ear, hand moving to brush away a few sweat drenched bangs. Pulling away to show Akos the smile, she continued softly, You wanted more children. Just think how happy you'll be with two sons and Aileigh with little brothers? Grinning ever so slightly, she took the cool, damp cloth from Mehdi and dabbed her wife's forehead. It goes by quicker than you think.. They'll be here before you know it.

[Akos]

She snorted at the last statement. How long had it already been? One? Two hours? For all she knew any more it may not have been any longer that 10 minutes. She didn't care, she just wanted it over with. With brows furrowed together in effort she met Aishe's eyes, I'd rather it was over already!

Akos turned her attention back to Serendipity. She knew the woman was trying to help, trying to make it easier for her to push through the labour, but for Zachrin's sake it was driving Akos mad! Not willing to offer any patience to anyone at the moment Akos raised her hand and hastily planted it over Serendipity's mouth to silence her, I'll darn well breathe however I want to!
Looking back at her wife, Akos gasped and shook slightly, Brats is what they are! Little darn brats already!

[Aishe]

Aishe could hold back a quiet laugh and shook her head. Perhaps they are just stubborn, hm? Now, we wouldn't happen to know where that came from... Grinning slightly, she pressed a kiss to her wife's temple. And brats already, huh? Definitely takes after their mother.. Gently, the back of her fingers rubbed Akos' arm. She couldn't help but recall Aileigh's birth, yet the situation had been so much more different. Akos hadn't been there for her - it had just been Serendipity and Soka, though Soka was moreso in the other room due to her (at the time) mental instability. It had been a dark, dark time for Aishe and Aileigh had been the guiding light.

Shaking her head and putting another smile on her lips, her attention returned to the present. She'd make things different for her beloved. Whispering softly, Aishe continued to rub her arm. Hang in there love... If I could do this, you can do this..

[Akos]

No. No way was she going to let Aishe make her feel better. She was going to be moody and grumpy all she liked and there was nothing her wife could do about it! But that smile, and her touch...darn it! No. So totally not going to happen.

Akos took a deep shaky breath as the twins gave her a moments break from their struggle and let her head flop back heavily against the pillows. Her right eyebrow lifted subconsciously as she met her wife's eyes, You're not trying to suggest that I am a brat are you? Akos took some small delight in her faux offence and pouted appropriately, We all know I'm a perfect angel.

[Aishe]

It felt nice to be at Akos' side, to be there for her. After all they'd been through, this was something she was able to do for her. She may not be able to take the pain away, but she sit at her side. At least they knew this wouldn't last forever and that when it was over, they'd have two of the most beautiful gifts life had to offer. She had nearly nine months to get used to the ideas of twins, yet it hit her like new every time she thought of it.

With a laugh, she pressed her lips to Akos' cheek in a light kiss. A perfect angel... She gave her a grin before looking at Serendipity, quirking an eyebrow. Did you hear that? Akos thinks she's the perfect lil' angel.. The guardian chuckled, Aishe's grin widening. Her blue eyes went back to her wife. Maybe in some life.. I don't quite think you get that title this time. An angel can't do some of the things you can, I'm sure.. Grinning still, she pecked her lips teasingly.

[Akos]

It was the playful teasing that did it. Akos shook her head and smiled, returning her wife's kiss. Only you could make me smile while I'm giving birth to your babies she said, rolling her eyes. Akos could hear the giggles from Serendipity and Medhi and was about to comment when another ripple of pain hit her body. Gasping, her eyes widened with pain as Serendipity shifted position and assessed the twins progression. Peering up at the expectant mothers she said with excitment "Time to push!".

[Aron]

He wasn't all that impressed when he was first hired as Akos' steward. But she was hot, and so he had accepted the position, only to find out later that she was married...to another stunning woman. It had been disappointing to him initially, but he soon came to realise that the family that hired him was filled with attractive women. He'd had no doubt that he would be able to charm his way into at least one of their bedrooms, but as time passed, he began to love each of them as he did his own family. Akos especially had become like a sister to him and so he had been very annoyed when he was told in no uncertain terms by Aishe, that he would not be allowed to assist at the birth.

Instead, he had been assigned to look after Soka. He wasn't sure he would ever be able to understand the connection the sisters had, but he was smart enough to know that when one was in pain, so was the other. As he watched Sokanon writhe in pain, it seemed entirely unfair to him that she should have to suffer through the birthing pains without baring children of her own. Of course, if he had his way, he could possibly change that for her one day. In the mean time however, he was the lone defender against a world of pain, and like the noble rogue he was, he would bear the pain of the vice like grip of a woman in agony.

[Sokanon]

The one consolation she had was that when it was all over, she had would two nephews. Two consolations she thought to herself, if she was being really technical. She didn't mind so much that she had the assistance of a very handsome man, if not creepily like her sister in too many ways. He had tried flirting with her, but it hadn't taken Sokanon long to realise he was just far too like Akos for her to ever be able to think of him in a romantic manner.

The sweat trickled slowly and annoyingly down her nose, and for all of his flaws, she was grateful when Aron brushed it away with his fingers. She would have offered her thanks if not for the sharp pain that hit her insides. If this was an accurate portrayal of what child birth was like, she would seriously consider staying celibate. She grit her teeth and gripped the stewards hand as the final wave of pain wreaked its havoc on her body. As the pain subsided Soka took a moment to assess. With a wry smile she looked into the man's brown eyes, I think its over. Her brows furrowed deeply all of a sudden as a thought occurred to her, Doesn't it usually take longer?

[Aishe]

And there it was.

The shrill cry that filled the room sounded strong and healthy. The moment that they had been building up to for the last few hours was finally upon them. The joy that went through her was indescribable as her eyes first fell on the little round, pink face. A mother's love is instant and ever-lasting, and the babe's cry only blossomed it. Serendipity handed the wailing bundle to her, which she gratefully accepted into her waiting arms. Her smile couldn't get any bigger as she showed her wife, tears brimming her eyelids.
