Dusting of the ol' anvil

Post by waerth »

After months of not having done anything with the knowledge his father thought him one day after going to the church Waerth stumbled over something. Damn anvil, he cursed, why do I still gave it anyway. That night while he was sleeping his father appeared in his dream and scolded him. You have the use the knowledge brought down to you through generations my son.

The next morning Waerth went to a carpenter had a sign made ...... Blacksmith open for business, order now!

Also he went to the university and started to study intermediate forging.

Swords are selling quite allright Waerth noticed, as does jewelry. Maybe the mayor could place some gold on the market so Waerth can make golden rings he was thinking .....

After tedious long hours of studying, he is finally finished.

Lets get a ladder a nail and a hammer and put this thing up!

Up the ladder he went and nailed the diploma in the wall.

University of Fenia
Waerth proudly finished
a self study in
intermediate forging

The diploma was hanging a bit crooked but what the heck, Waerth was swelling with pride! And he immediately started upon his first large project! A Longsword.

After many days of hard working and a lot of sweat, burnmarks covering his arms, Waerth sat down and looked at his new masterpiece with a smile.
I knew I could do it he said to no one in particular

Waerth closed his eyes as the first rays of the morning sun entered the house through the windows and the Longsword caught the rays and brightened the room.

Waerth was walking around his home whistling loudly when suddenly a loud knock was heard on the door.

Open up in the name of the king we have a package for you

Waerth opened the door and looked at the messenger whom was guarded by two mighty warriors.

Here with kindest regards from his majesty

After that they sped of, Waerth looked at them untill only dust could be seen.
Waerth opened the package and brought a candle close to the little bars to see if they really where ......
Yes, now Waerth could also make exquisite jewelry!

In a generous mood and looking for a favour from the gods Waerth decided to donate 3 Tuna Sandwiches to the temple of Fenia.

He knelt in front of one of the statues of the god of garments and mumbled a silent prayer .....

........................... belt ............................................................... really thank you!
