The Town Audit screen is used by Mayors to view the recent financial transactions of the town. Sometimes it is requested by players on the forum, so the screen also has a BBCode output for the Mayor to post on the forums.

Introduction

The Town Audit screen is available only to the Mayor of the town under the Financial Section of the office of the Mayor. This screen covers only transactions that goes through the Auditor's hands. They do not include any actions done through Town Hall grants or money going into or out of town grants.

The Audit Screen covers the totals for Today, Yesterday, This week, and Last week in a table of their own. Each table is broken up into two major categories: Revenue and Expenses.

Revenue

Under the Revenue section, there are the following categories:

1) Goods Sold: This includes any goods sold either via the Town Market, Flea Market, or the VR Fair 2) Leveling: Towns receive 20 f (Level 1), 200 f (Level 2), or 500 f (Level 3 or 4) when a player levels at reset 3) Paid Taxes: This includes any taxes paid to the town. 4) Patron: This includes all money given to the towns by Patrons every day at reset. Patrons may select the amount of money to give between 0 to 9 Freznics to either the Town, Temple, or Viceroyalty. 5) Donations: This includes any monetary donations made to town hall. Please note that item donations are not added here. 6) Flea Market Fees: This includes any money made from the transaction fees applied to all Flea Market transactions.

Expenses

Under the Expenses section, there are the following categories:

1) Flea Market Cost: 5 f is removed every day at reset that the town Flea Market is open. This cost is removed with Version 3.1.027 2) Purchases: This includes any purchases made on the Town Market, Flea Market, or the VR Fair 3) Wages: This includes the cost of wages for the Militia (Immediate Upon Job Taken), Point Jobs (Immediate Upon Job Taken), and the Town Upgrades (Added at Reset) 4) Clerical: This includes the amount paid to the Clerical staff 5) Maintenance: This section includes the amount paid for Wall Maintenance (Immediate upon job taken) or Repairs to Town Hall (Done at Reset) 6) Corruption: Any money that is lost due to corruption is shown here.

Other Things to Know

While the Clerical Staff records many things, some Mayors decide to keep track of specific numbers on their own. If you ever need to know the current amount of Points, Town Wall Status, Town Hall Level, or the items on sale, this information is located on the main Mayor screen.

Some mayors in addition attempt to put a value on all goods to give a sort of value to their inventory for reporting purposes. There are many ways to look at the value of one's inventory. In the end, the Audit system is a tool to help mayor's judge their own performance.

Finally, if you click on the get BBCode, you can get the code needed to be used in the forum to post your audit. Mayors do not have to do this, but some prefer to have it available.
